I came back on the 3 day free trial. Noticed on my evoker that there are a lot of times where I try to click on a skill to use it and it just won’t go off. It’s not showing as on CD or out of range. I was able to spam the button no problem while in the Evoker starter area, but as soon as I was out of it, the trouble started.
Eventually I figured out that I can’t click just anywhere on the skill button. I have to click on the outer edge of the skill button and then it will go off (usually). It still does the same thing now and then where it won’t go off, but it will activate more often than not.
It’s making the game extremely unplayable for me. I have to focus more on where I click the button than what’s going on around me.

Not wanting to wiz in your cheerios, but now might be a good time to bind your abilities to your keyboard. Even if there’s a small learning curve for you it will be better by far.

There is nothing wrong with being a clicker. I don’t do keybinds. The solution should not be “change your play style”. I have done better than keybinders in raids and dungeons. It works for me just fine when the system works properly.
I don’t play keybind heavy games for a reason. That’s not my playstyle, end of story.
After about a week or probably less it would end up being better for you overall. I didn’t want to come off like I was giving you a hard time for it.
He might be like me and click until he gets a game mouse…mouse bindings are alot easier for me than relying totally on the keyboard. I also outperformed people via clicking until my main dps spec changed to something too fast for even my fast hands. Legion shadow priest got so fast it hurt my hands and even glitched the game. Prior to that I used just an addon to make bindings for healing spells for a simple standard mouse. I only use clicking the bars for alts due to not wanting memorize all the binds.
Also had the same problem on an evoker…only for my defensives though. Very bad way to die lol.
