Why? I thought it was brand new?
Can the devs please update the Judgement 2.0 armor to use “Black” dye instead of what color a black pair of pants looks like after 4000 washer and dryer runs?
I checked amazon and an 8oz bottle of black RIT brand dye only costs usd $3.49, so if you want to add that to the Store, I would be more than happy to pay for the materials required to give the brand new Judgement 2.0 armor a refresh to make it look new.

Prolly skimping on color costs and not using true black. Cutting corners anyplace they can, it seems.
Sharp eye.

It’s faded in the original set, too.

Now I want to find a metalworker to test the gold sections of the armor as well a geologist for the rubies, because something tells me it’s probably Iron Pyrite and cubic zirconia.

Dude, don’t even get me started. I bought a new shield the other day and it was wood wrapped in foil.
I’d flip a table but it appears to be drawn on the wall. wth.

Ah, the old, “Alien Proof” shield.
They got me there too.

Yenno,
Come to think of it, when I have it with me, I’m much more apt to “pfft, you sound like a crazy person”
This is something that legitimately annoys me in game. So many things are supposed to be black are actually just dark grey.

Well, this is… because actual black doesn’t exist.
The only way you’re gonna get better looking blacks is by making them slightly blue (terrible solution because of how it interacts with monitor variance) or for you personally to get an OLED.
Though I’m not sure if WoW has good ‘true black’ support.

Perhaps not as black as deep space in the clearest sky in the pitch of night, but WoW certainly has MUCH better options for black.
Look at how black the Tentacles in the last boss of Stonevault are. Even my shadowlands 2100 RBG enchant is far more black than this. It’s not really a problem with the engine, per se.
Also, I have an LG 45GS95QE Ultragear OLED Curved Gaming Monitor 45-Inch WQHD 800R 240Hz 0.03ms DisplayHDR True Black 400 AMD FreeSync Premium Pro NVIDIA G-Sync HDMI 2.1 DisplayPort Tilt/Height/Swivel Stand - Black monitor already so it really is just a choice made by the artists.
…you mean blue and purple?
That’s how they make it look dark for us plebeians with no OLED.
My bad I meant last boss of Grim Batol. His tentacles and Darkness are Black/Violet.
At least they are on an OLED monitor.
They look a little reddish purple to me. I mean, they use very dark color and contrast to make the ‘center’ look dark, but it’s still the same concept as last boss SV tbh.
Idk, I’ve never had an OLED of my own to compare with, so it’s hard for me to picture exactly the difference you’re seeing.
I don’t think it’s a monitor thing. If you watch the video on youtube named " No Fluff Grim Batol Mythic Boss Guide", then skip to the first part of the last boss guide, the darkness and ground void circles are clearly very black and violet. I don’t think a monitor would change the color of someone elses rendered graphics on a video, I’m not sure to be honest.
they’ve adopted this new washed out coloring style in like DF

I mean, there’s a difference between that and the black on the armor, but that black also would look like trash on the armor.
That black still doesn’t look like true black on my monitor. The contrast that ‘sharp’ black technique applies looks awful on most things, but it works for mechanics you want people to see.
So if the engine can render such a deep black for mechanics, it can do the same black for the armor, and every single shade of black in between.
Therefore, it’s not an issue for the devs to accomplish at all. It’s not dye or paint that can only be applied to specific surface types. The armor isn’t real metal and the ground isn’t real concrete. If it can render it on the ground it can render it on the armor.
This would look like garbage. Borderline objectively.
Also that’s not necessarily true, the circle in question isn’t subject to lighting the same way the armor is.
Nah, it would look awesome.
Lighting has nothing to do with color. Color is Color. Lighting is Lighting.
You’re making no sense at this point.
