Only Elemental spec is busted, just say that in your thread titles and posts.
Dps enhancement is a joke now, and has been for the last 2 phases, an unplayable joke. If you’re going to sit there and tell me that dps enh is busted, then I’m Barack Obama.
It’s not elemental people are complaining about. Feel free anyone reading this post to make an Ele and try PvPing. (As actual Elemental)
It’s basically running the full tank ZG set and running WoTE (rock biter imbue which means low spellpower) then jumping around spamming flame shock waiting for PS procs. The ZG set bonus doubles the PS proc chance which is the real problem. People basically only go halfway into the ele tree to get the crit damage bonus but they don’t actually cast anything but FS and LvB while benefiting from the WoTE defensive bonuses.
95%+ of shamans don’t have that ZG set which is why there is so much horde backlash over people crying about shaman PvP. You all keep running into the 15 people who have the full setup and keep catching beat downs.
I definitely think the set bonus should be deleted or changed entirely.
Ah okay, I don’t play the tank shaman, so I wouldn’t know anything too much about that.
But a lot of folks complain about shamans in general, as if they’re also lumping in dps enhance. It’s like “We don’t need any more nerfs to that, it’s already dead” lol.
My issue is, is that Blizzard will see these shaman complaint posts and over-correct (which they always do) and go after every spec, not just the ones that need toned down, that’s what drives me crazy.

They are also complaining about the 21-0-30 resto spec that may or may not run ZG set. TBH, what I think is happening is run into one spec or the other , then get nuked down by an ele sham from distance, hence the almighty 31/31/31 legendary spec is born. To be fair it’s impossible to know which spec you’re fighting just by looking at the shaman most of the time. I understand the confusion.
No, what’s happening is, there are 3 shaman specs crushing in PvP right now.
Tank ele, for obvious reasons this is the most egregious.
The 21-0-30 resto spec, still one of the tankiest targets to actually kill if you’re a melee thanks to the massive amount of armor and the generally disgusting utility shaman has
and the one everyone thinks isn’t broken but kinda is, actual ele, I got crit for 2.4k with a flame shock, today. I cannot stop him from casting because I must kill the priest healers (otherwise he won’t die anyway), but if I don’t stop him from casting he will kill me and the rest of my team almost single-handedly from the burst potential ele has in SoD. He is actually still fairly tanky thanks to mail armor+shield, has all the benefits of shamans disgusting utility (shamanistic rage and decoy totem being the most disgusting things added to sod straight up), and triples my damage with an instant cast that can potentially set off the chain reaction that will eat 80% of my health in a global or two.
Decoy totem and Shamanistic rage should be removed from the game, just, who thought these were okay but arms warriors can’t have colossus smash? or do meaningful damage? and all tank runes should be disabled in pvp… for obvious reasons.
Also, on topic, nobody is talking about enhance ever, in any xpac’s pvp. It was “good” like twice, and reliant on bug abusing with windfury in one of those to be r1 viable.
Sounds like you are comparing an ele sham with a healer vs a single war. Sorry to say but you wouldn’t have a chance alone, much less if he has pocket heals. Not to say wars do not need love in PvP. My alt is a war which I leveled for BGs cause I had faith something would be done to fix them at lvl 60…nope
Where do you see an ele and a priest vs a solo war in that comment? I mentioned what he was doing to my whole team multiple times.
What are you on if you think people complaining about how broken shaman are is going to do anything but cause more buffs for Shaman.
You are literally the golden child of SoD and even though you are nearly unkillable with near LoH insta heals, insane tankiness (better than paladin in PvP), and received every single utility in the book, you continue to get buff after buff in what feels like every f***ing patch.
You guys exaggerate as always. As if paladin did not get extra utility and your class is bottom of the barrel right now. If you can’t perform as ret in this meta, you never will.

Spoiler shaman tanks with near 100% block chance. No exaggerations idk what spec or runes but its broken. Its like being perm bopped.

Yeah the tank stuff is cringe, but also you get Feral Spirit as a class that nukes from range. And then you get to swap out to another insane rune that gives damage and earthbind root. It would be pretty balanced if you took away all the tank and enhance stuff from Ele. Gz on perma Horde wins in BGs tho, Pallies really needed a nerf compared to feral spirit with 4 abilities.
Yeah Flame Shock hits 5 targets for like a million damage just so they can be somewhat viable in PvE. Boomkins are also OP with the tank runes as well, but at least they’re not Horde-exclusive.

Trust me, if the spec of shaman I play got buff after buff after buff every patch, I wouldn’t even be saying anything.

honestly i can confirm this to be true.
highest pvp lava burst ive gotten is 3k with natural alignment crystal popped.
oh wait i just read flame shock…
hmm not sure if ive personally seen one for more than 1.5k.
someone mustve had beserker debuff and a few other % damage taken altering things going for something that high.
wouldnt put it as something that couldnt possibly happen though it would be rare to have all the stuff to align at the same time for it to happen though.
