Any tips on how to make this ability actually, like, work? Half the time it doesn’t do anything. I’ve found if I wait until the melee train is like literally inside my character model, it has a 70% chance of working, but otherwise it seems 50/50 whether or not it will do anything.
Usually backpedaling will line it up best. But if you are in pvp good players will always waggle side to side so fast you will be praying for it to land anyways. The issue is you have both distance and cone to line up and it actually makes proper alignment a very small window when you consider latency.
Yeah the cone is ridiculously small I’ve come to find. I’ve used it on people and the animation clearly hits them but they don’t get knocked back at all. It feels like playing an old RPG where there are critical failures and if you’re unlucky enough your bursting shot fails and you continued to get trained and die.
Like it’s got weird height problems as well. Obviously the most optimal place to use it is at the top of an incline, and sometimes that works. But other times it’s like the ability goes straight over the enemy’s head and misses them completely.
I was just hoping if there was a trick or something that makes it easier to hit.
its range is 1, so you need to be literally right next to them and if they already suffer from a knockback dr or even a root(for some weird reason) then it just doesn’t work, another trash ability for worthless class, also used to be fun to have in pve but can no longer take it lul, hunter class everyone
Yeah bursting shot is the worst knock in the game, it often deals damage but no knockback effect, because the damage radius is bigger than the knock radius. Would be cool if it wasn’t so dookie, I love knocks but it’s the most unreliable thing ever.
They should increase its range to 15 yards for both damage and knockback. That way it actually works when you use it.
I stopped using it then removed it from talent build altogether after I realized it barely worked
