Been running a few Mythic + dungeons today and it seems as though Bursting is doing serious damage, like 3 times more than the tooltip says.
The tooltip says 5%, it seems to me than that.
Can anyone else confirm that they are seeing Bursting hitting for more?

yet another change intended to teach DPS to kill large packs slowly, but in actuality the DPS will keep going mongo resulting in an instant wipe and all the hate directed at the healerâŚlike someone taking a big avoidable damage spike during grievous week then being finished off by grievous then yelling at their healer

lol I feel bad for the casuals they are getting shafted so hard in this expansion. Blizzard loves pooping on the little guys they continue to make the game harder and harder for them.

I was wondering why the +7 i was in was doing so much. We had two elemental shaman spamming earthquake+Chain lightning instead of paying attention to health/the affix and they decided to whine I couldnât keep us up in constant 6-8 stacks. Infuriating.

I just did a 7 and it was kinda a lot of healing. I am pretty sure its is doing damage per second so 7% *4s = 28% instead of the intended 14% per stack.
The current tooltip claims its 4% every second for 4 sec, 16% per stack. Which is a far cry from the Ingame tooltip that still says 5% over 4 seconds, or the 10% over 4 from legion.
Not to mention this week its paired with Quaking making this almost always lethal if you get 5 or 6 stacks, especially with packs that deal decent group damage ala the raptors in Atal.
4-5 stacks of bursting and a well timed quaking pulse will be enough for a guaranteed wipe in 99%+ of pugs now
and getting 4-5 stacks of bursting even with single small trash pulls is easier than you think
thanks blizz, clearly what M+ needed is to be made even SLOWER and MORE miserable

Yeah, at the moment it doesnât feel right.
If a +6 is supposed to feel like a +10, then it is off. Before on a +10 if I didnât 15K to 20K healing on a pull, that was a lot. Now I am easy pulling 35K.
Could the group do things better? Sure, but I accidentally dispelled an entire group of the minions of zul in a kings, and there is no way to recover from that. I canât imaging they want you to have to kite those things for 30+ seconds just to take them out one at a time.
I think it could be done right at this level, but to do it you need to take the effect off of a lot of the smaller HP trash.
Just imagine it on a tyrannical week, when the trash dies a lot faster.
I just had a thought that made me laugh. Imagine that poor group trying to do a +4. Something that I normally never thought of as very difficult. I would be surprised if very many +4 groups finish this week with the the current state of things.
Explains the 1.3k IO groups popping up like wildfire for 7-9âs.
Its intended. Warcraftdevs tweeted that extra damage was removed during a bug fix back in Legion but people ignored it (who the f ignored it?) so they buffed it back up. Would post a link but apparently my forum âtrust levelâ isnât high enough to post linksâŚLOL.

From what I am reading around the web, it appears that Blizzard wanted to do a 40% increase in the bursting damage, but they may have failed and increased it by 180%.
Old @ 5% every 2 seconds.
New @ 7% every 1 second.
If it was a mistake, that would make sense. I used to dislike grievous week, but now that feels like EASY mode!

My group was running 12s and 13s pretty consistently at the end of season 1. We attempted Kingâs Rest and Waycrest on +9 and just felt totally defeated. I replaced all three of my 385 azerite pieces with new ones with a 5th ring, to include a 400 ilvl one, and basically got six better traits to replace the three I had previously, and I still felt like I couldnât heal the group. At worst, the difference in healing a +9 now vs a +13 then should have felt like a wash, but now I donât even want to run M+.
If youâve ever felt like blizzard wants more people to quit hereâs your answer.
For the first time the entire expansion I actually donât want to even attempt a M+ this week.
Worthless trash devs.

Hope this gets brought up in the q&a.
Okay, now that Iâve experienced this affix on my monk, I think itâs doing a ridiculous amount of damage. We never wiped to it because we were coordinating on discord, but I blew my 3 minute cooldowns more than a few times to save us from death.
This canât possibly be considered âworking as intendedâ.
