Burrowing Appendage

Remove this absolute joke of an enemy from the Stormwind Horrific Vision.

THAT, or remove the ‘You are in combat’ lock on interacting with objects in the vision. It’s sh!tty gameplay.

Stand next to it and kill it. It won’t burrow if you’re next to it.

That’s the tactic, only you’re being thrown around the street by the burning-feet-jumping-whatthefrickever effect, more of than not if you have an unlucky roll with the RNG. Which renders that tactic absolutely moot.

It’s not even so much the fact that it’s there but the fact that they’re SO incredibly tanky as well.

stormwind is terrible, org week will be easier (much easier). Sadly you still need all districts in storm to get all masks

I don’t mean difficulty, i mean just how annoying everything in sw is

Uh… you only get thrown around if you move. Just pull the entire sector, minus the mini-bosses, and AOE it down. Tanks AND DPS (I’ve seen multiple classes, at low IL, do it just fine) can do it. This is barely an affix. Just stand still and DPS.

Edit: The tentacles have like 5 hp and don’t burrow if you don’t move.

Burning feet won’t make you jump if you are standing still.

Trust me. I ended up unlocking the Restore 200 Sanity ability from elites today, and Stormwind is… Probably easier than I thought it was. The tentacles are among one of the weakest enemies in the entire scenario as far as low-level bonus objectives go in terms of HP and damage.

that’s not exactly how it works. You get debuff and if you keep moving then you don’t jump most of the time, but if you stop and then move - you jump.

There’s also a lot of abilities mobs throw on ground with CC and sanity cost you need avoid, so you need to move anyway

No that’s actually not how the mechanic works.

Additionally, the tentacles don’t have like 5hp. You’re being disingenuous do don’t expect anyone to take you seriously here.

Even still ALL of this begs the point - they’ve created a scenario where you have to face-tank.

Similar ‘soaking’ mechanics in Raids are equally as silly.

What’s wrong with face tanking ? And I don’t get thrown if I don’t move, so that IS the mechanic.

But you’re wrong, because that’s not how it works. So it’s…not the mechanic.

EDIT: Why am I even discussing this with a plate class…?

mage can’t really face tank like melee classes or hybrids with selfheals can

Yeah, that’s why you just stand still until that happens. Big purple swirly? Well, you’ve been standing still, the moment you move in a direction you are launched away, creating distance and avoiding the bad thing.

Though thankfully, there aren’t many of those dangerous AoEs in the area of the burrowing things except I think one of the guys has a slam, which can be interrupted with CC.

The tentacles are annoying, why I failed my first vision in fact. However that was the first vision, now I know what they do and that I need to eliminate those cleanly.

Removal of them is a bit extreme. Flame shoes is annoying too, but again it’s about getting use to it. It’s how dungeons and raids work as well, you learn what to do no matter how annoying.

Strange how the ppl I watch, and when I did it myself (see rank 7 cloak) , all happened to bug the mechanic the same way then ?

I’ve seen Warlock casters pull eveything just fine

There’s literally a food item that you can use for visions to just restore % of your HP over time constantly, and there is a vial which offers a similar HP-restoration effect in the instance. Face tanking even on squishies is a viable option.

Yeah, I tried it as destro once… Wasn’t having it.

Went in again as Affliction, as I have been, even using the ULTRA LAZY spec of Absolute Corruption/Grim. Sac/Creeping Death and just tabbing Corruption on everything, focus-firing annoying adds, and moving along. Ended up clearing two bonus objectives and boss with a sanity orb to spare.

The flame shoes, I can deal with. Absolutely. I usually pull and engage in an enclosed space to minimize being thrown about. That’s actually fun to play around.

The tentacles are not. Remove them or lower their health pool, but increase the damage they do substantially. They also lock you in combat if you move away from them and they stop attacking altogether. It’s happened twice now.

Ok their hp is NOT bad. I’m a tank. Aka I do like 20K dps ST and even I can cleave them down quickly.

You do not do horrific visions as Blood. You’re lying, badly.
