Burrow Pet and Shadow Rift

These need to be just thrown out or nerfed to uselessness. You shouldn’t be able to one shot an entire team in 3 seconds by dropping them off the map or be able so sit a base from across the map.

Have you never done the safety dance in raids ? I mean, it’s a huge purple shiny thing on the ground.

Does your magic bubble not make you immune ?

I think its funny how little attention people pay to their surroundings, especially classes that are tanky and are used to just smashing buttons on the keyboard until enemy health is 0 without having to worry about character placement.

Shadow Rift is easy to spot, and is easy to counter. All you have to do is stand still for 3 seconds and you won’t fall off the edge when you get teleported. Or like… just get out of the Shadow Rift stain on the ground.

Heck you’re a death knight, can’t you just death grip people while you fall off the edge?

its probably not good of me to disclose, but there are some less than smart warlocks replying in this thread already and apparently they have no knowledge of Shadow Rift + Eye of Killrog allowing you to yeet entire teams off the map with no counter play.

“OH BUT JUST DONT STAND IN IT”

coordinate w/ your dk to mass grip, coordinate with your druids to ursols vortex, coordinate with you shamans to static field totem, or warriors with spear, there are 10,000 abilities that synergize with Shadow rift to make it unavoidable.

No, the game needs more fun/creative stuff like this, not less.

The “every class is the same” homogeneous game design is lame, let classes have their own unique “flavor” and neat little tricks imo (like Shadowrift).

its not a “neat little trick” to place a portal in an unreachable spot and then transport players to that unreachable insta death spot.

thats overpowered. thats unbalanced.

So? Just side-step out of it

You can usually avoid it with good reaction time anyways, unless you’re like really old/boomer type with slow fingers

no you cant. its usually paired with Abomb limb and you cannot just “side step” away from slappy hands.

just wow. stop insulting people when you look like a clown for not even understanding how it works.

See, that’s different. Of course abilities can become “OP” as part of a combo with other abilities.

By itself it is usually avoidable, the obvious purple circle + purple animation is a dead giveaway it’s about to go off :man_shrugging:

hush. just hush. you know not of which you speak.

Can’t other classes cast spells that do an AoE push which if performed near ledges will cause players to fall off? There’s no way to counter those spells either right? So then, why aren’t you complaining about those spells too? You’re just mad that warlocks now have a spell that does something other classes have been doing.

Knocks require a target being in melee range. No class has what Warlocks has.

A priest can mind control you off the edge. No class has mind control like a priest does. Get rid of mind control.

Mind control doesn’t interact with other classes’ utility spells like Shadow Rift does and it can’t yeet entire teams off the map.

Two priests can team up, one will mind control an enemy caster who is near other enemies and also near an edge (like the flag pick up in EoS). The second priest casts the AoE push on the mind controlled target, pushing everyone off the edge.

Alright so nerf that also, having other things that can be broken doesn’t make this less broken.

We should also nerf paladin bubble. They are completely invulnerable from damage, can still do damage themselves or can heal to full health.

It’s similar to a mage’s ice block, which if paired with a healer, can heal the mage to full.

Why should those classes have a button that makes them completely immune to all damage sources, worse yet, why should paladins have a spell that makes them immune to all damage but still able to damage or heal themselves?

Nerf it I don’t care lol, why do so many of you small brains jump to that thinking I would care?

I can accept if something on my class gets nerfed, if they balanced the class around the change I won’t care.

Why do you care about a warlock spell that has specific use cases?
