Burning Steppes is the best Black Lotus farm and I explain why

This post is to explain why Burning Steppes is the BEST place to farm Black Lotus.

TL/DR version : Stand at Coordinates 28, 62 in Burning Steppes. This is known as THE QUADS.

Burning Steppes has a few spots which have a high concentration of Black Lotus possible spawn spots. One spot in particular, is why I declare Burning Steppes the BEST Black Lotus farm zone of all.

If you stand at Coordinates 28, 62 in Burning Steppes (link to an imgur picture below), the location is labeled in-game Draco’dar. It is known as “The Quads” within the Black Lotus farming community, because… standing in this ONE spot, you can see -four- (4) possible Black Lotus spawn points. I provided a link to a screenshot of my Burning Steppes map below. It is an amazing spot, and standing here long enough, you WILL see a Black Lotus.

Furthermore, there are six (6) more possible spawn points within a 10 second mount ride from this spot.

Meaning, you can scout 10 of the 30 possible Black Lotus spawn points very quickly. Giving you a 33% chance of finding a Black Lotus every time it respawns.

Here is a picture of the Black Lotus spawns in this area, that I have found.

Also, Burning Steppes has Dreamfoil, Mountain Silversage, and Golden Samsam

General Black Lotus Farm Info :
There are now 30 possible Black Lotus spawn nodes in a zone. The respawn timer is random, but after a Black Lotus is picked, the respawn can even be as low as 10 minutes from what I have seen. At the time of this writing, one Black Lotus is going for 140g on my server

If you have any questions, I’ll be happy to answer!

Pretty much just ruined your own farming spot, but good on you for sharing what seems like such a valuable place to get some gold.

We don’t all play on the same servers so it’s okay. It’s just people dont know how good Burning Steppes is for BL farm.

People do know. There are trade offs for choosing to farm burning steppes. You won’t get plaguebloom or dreamfoil for example. Plaguebloom itself is worth quite a bit. The best farmers read the server currents. Meaning they know what zones will produce the best at any specific period of time. Many people mistakenly believe the best time to farm herbs is in the middle of the night, and it’s not bad, but another good time for example is peak raid hours, and occasionally mid day where people take a break from playing the game. The people up early are up early, but not many people log in just to play in the middle of the day.

What? Burning Steppes has Dreamfoil, Mountain Silversage, and Golden Samsam… I get Dreamfoil all the time there.

Just go to the zone and find a hunter standing there spamming eagle eye over the whole thing. I think there might even be a bot script for this as ive seen some cast so fast there is 0 pause.

Maybe, but there’s a macro for Eagle Eye that makes it really easy.

I see people there all the time, usually druid or rogue in stealth.

There’s another post on the forums of a guy that has like 15 low lvl rogues parked by the repawns, a low level hunter he uses eagle eye with to scout which one spawned, and a few lvl 60 rogues

It’s insane what people do to camp black lotus. I definitely understand why rare herbs should be random spawns either in other herb nodes, or in place of other random herb nodes

how are you going to make a post on black lotus and not even know theres a hunter macro. you should give credit to the original posts you stole all this info from, instead of trying to make it look like you came up with it

I don’t have any level-60s in Classic, but players sharing information about how to play better is always welcome. Thanks.

I said there is a macro. And all of the info in my post I did on my own. The screenshot I provided is from my own map, so I’ve discovered all of those black lotus spots myself on my map.

There are people willing to pay for 10-30 accounts to control this market. Blizzard doesnt care and your farming tips are worthless.

As stated by our forum colleagues: that is a most excellent lotus focused farming spot! And the 5d chess players are competing with bots who know all the sweet spots that factor other reource gains.

Thank you for sharing regardless!

black lotus matters!

Since Blizzard made the Black Lotus changes, there’s 30 possible spawn nodes now… whereas before it was only 8. It’s near impossible to monopolize this market now. Random people WILL find lotus.

That’s a great thought
