Burning crusade quest 1 thrallmar mage

Hello

lvl 10 vulpera rogue
talked to chromie and started the burning crusade storyline.
thrallmar mage is not in the portal area.
is that a lvl thing ? or is there a different problem ?
the quest marker shows that he is suppose to be lower then the room, like there is a floor below or something.

There is a floor below with additional portals. You need to turn left and go down some stairs before you get to the usual room. Or, if you are in the main room, head back out towards Org but take your first right. The colour and lighting in there does make it a bit hard to see.
