Also in a Tues/Weds guild and I’m willing to bet over half the non-casual raiding scene are in the same boat. We chose these days because we like to compete with other guilds that have the same mindset. It makes 0 sense to not put new content out with the weekly reset.
imagine thinking about starting fresh tbc right now

I think ultimately they have a release schedule that some big boss has set and it would take something ridiculous to change it. They did hear us somewhat with the s3 being rushed (although the extra discount is awesome the season still should have been another 2-3 weeks).
I can understand (not agree with) them wanting LK to be out by the end of 22 but why not drop it in Nov/December when half the player base is locked inside anyways because winter, AND give us better phase timing - like p4 for another 3-4 weeks if they are dropping Sunwell gating.
You forgot the completely ignored PvP community who got word from a blue about several major changes that would be active during off-season week and literally 4/5 of those changes didn’t even happen, and some older changes even reverted (mark costs).
Everyone is sitting on points wondering if Blizz will even say anything or acknowledge/fix it before they wipe arena points for S4. It’s screwed up.
They probably need a cash influx /Q4 numbers from WotLK so they’re rushing us there as quickly as possible. Would expect WotLK either right at the end of Q3 or start of Q4 so they can tell big daddy MS they did a good job
I think they do it because China resets on Thursday and with the “Race to World Firsts” that happen every phase having one release before the other would be messy. Super inconvenient for us in the Americas I agree, but at least somewhat understandable.
5 Months of Karazhan.
3 Months of Black Temple.
Thanks for the week notice, now I can’t take vacation days.
Can always count on Blizzard for superior customer support.
lol seriously? guess we need to be tweeting to our chinese overlords then
I was being sarcastic that ppl are complaining there is short notice for the parch but that also ppl complain when things take too long
“At first, the Shattered Sun’s forces will be limited as you help them resist the Legion’s unrelenting assault. The Isle of Quel’Danas effort advancement depends on your whole realm completing quests and aiding the efforts—so be sure to do your part! As your realm continues to assist the Shattered Sun Offensive, fresh reinforcements will arrive, offering goods and services, in addition to new daily quests.”
How is this going to affect the smaller/low pop realms? Will the three guilds remaining on my server have to put in the same amount of effort a 20k+ population server will, or did some thought go in to how us ‘dead’ servers will handle this?
Well I don’t if that’s true but China is the vast and I mean VAST majority of TBC Classic players.
We had longer than one week if you paid attention to the PVP season end date.
Please add layers to the island, I like being alive and able to play my character
We did not know the exact date. I thought it was probably this day myself but you know I couldn’t exactly ask my guild members to take the day off work when it wasn’t confirmed. So my knowledge is irrelevant.
Yes, they should have given more than one weeks notice, and doing that is in no way going above and beyond. They probably knew this date for a while, so sharing it is just respecting your player base.
It’s always nice to see forum posters showing their lack of empathy when something doesn’t matter to them personally.
I would think so
I heard about this, but don’t do arenas and wasn’t sure what actually happened with that.
So, great job on that too Blizz. Keep crushing it out there
Will there be any adjustments to the P3 Raids? Akin to those of P2.5 with Badges, Extra Boss Loot and the ability to skip to the main Boss?
There a was comment a while ago about having both a Normal/Nerfed Sunwell Raid, what came out of that approach?
Literally every pvp season end was different with content release.
Math is hard.
