This is total BS, logged in and couldnt figure out wtf happened to my toon. I, like most ppl with a normal life dont ever check the forums until something is needed to be answered.

Yeah this is so whack, just wanted to level up to 70 before wrath
I’m in the same boat as everyone else. I redid my subscription 4 days ago and now have to wait for my toon to show back up.

I dont even have a desire to play anymore, I log in once a day to see if they have gotten there heads out of there butts and fixed it. They made another blue post going "We can confirm that all consolidating realms in this region are now in process, and that means the player-characters that were still on those realms when maintenance began will be unavailable for a currently-undetermined amount of time.
We’re watching this very closely and we’ll let you know if anything about the plan changes."
Which is total BS, Because we didnt broadcast this over all forms of communication we are going to punish the causals that just enjoyed playing and leveling on a “Dead” server.
You would have figure with them going your going to “x” server it would be, when it happens I will just be able to log into that “x” server. This shows how much Blizzard actually care after this many post and days of silence after the, you didnt transfer your fault post.

just curious, any intention on ever adding account transfers similar to what is available in retail? So we can merge characters on other accounts into a single account.
As someone who doesn’t read announcements like this it was a shock when I logged in and couldn’t find my characters. If there were any warnings in-game, I missed them. It really sucks waiting two weeks – WHY TWO WEEKS???
I really enjoyed playing a very low population realms.
No everyone obsessively reads forums! Especially ones like me who play on low pop to just chill out. There was no announcement in the Battle.net game client, nor warnings in the game itself.

I just added gametime to play with my Loatheb characters and boom, they´re gone. I send a ticket and they tell me it will take 2 weeks to have them restored. Not going to play retail so there goes half of my gametime. Also i tried to play my character in Earthfury and realm is down, horrible luck

Just noting here that the wording is UP TO 2 weeks.
My character that was on some dead realms already arrived on the destination server (Sulfuras), as have many folks I’ve talked too.
As for folks who just found out, yeah that sucks, but I really think that it’s more on you vs Blizzard in this instance (except the Earthfury fiasco). It’s been announced and common knowledge for over 2 months at this point.

my main and 1 lvl 60 alt are available now…no bank alt with all of my gold yet though

I go away from wow for about 9 months, came back aboard a month ago and have been enjoying retail, decided a week ago to check my classic toon and prepare for a leveling it from 30 to 70 in preparation for wrath classic, it was dead on server is all i noted, and figured id hit it hard over the weekend. I went to log in and toon is gone, i honestly thought i was hacked or something. But holding my character hostage till you decide to move it is ridiculous. Come on, hit send already. Obviously you did with another i had because i had a level 9 on sulfuras now, it was on a totally different server all together. So get with it and move everyone over. Id like to get ready for WoTLK.

looks like we missed the cut off to manually transfer our characters. had no idea about it as i’ve been gone for 8 months or so.

What about Benediction??? Fix the Horde population on Benediction as a part of this. It is an absolute joke that there are 20 horde players online during peak hours.
Oh fantastic I come back from my break today to grind some toons before wrath hits and not only did I lose all my unique names but also the ability to even grind on my characters at all. My names meant something to me and it’s beyond annoying they decided to do this.
Netherwind was always a popular server and I’m sure others like me left along the way and planned to head back for wrath, and now instead we are all being forced elsewhere.
Also apparently I’m headed to sulfuras which happens to be where my horde toons are that I’ve already leveled, brilliant! Guess I’m also being forced to delete my horde toons?

You can have both horde and alliance on the same account on a PVP server now. You can also have up to 50 characters on a server.
I agree with the rest of what you’re saying, I just wanted to let you know that.

This delay is annoying. Bliz has consolidated before, including guild bank. Just having Skittles-Uldum and Skittles-Fairbanks for example, to conserve player names and to avoid confusion and aggravation without having to come up with a totally alien name on the fly. Names have meaning to some of us, and in my case some of them I have used since 1995 on games I’ve played.
