They did say that these were what zones they were starting with. Not a huge fan of the Barrens at least, but Azshara is doable until we get more options.
This looks very exciting! I hadn’t even thought about the concept of neighborhoods.
Deeply social?
Eh get off my lawn
Agreed. Even if it’s “at the start” only. It’s just such a bad choice for a Horde that has evolved so much at this point. More than half the races of the faction don’t belong to that aesthetic.
They did, but they didn’t say anything about if we could move our plots and it copy over. I’m hesitant to put any amount of work to it if I have to start over
You’re right, the blight filled undercity is way better.
We’ll need more information, yeah.
Seems promising would love to see some ingame footage to soon
Heh, you know how Blizzard is. If you are Alliance that must mean you want Human, and if you are Horde that must mean you want Orc. There is no in between, sadly.
Here is hoping they add more in the future. I personally wanted a little instanced house in Valdrakken. I may have moved away from Horde to avoid the Orc architecture, but that doesn’t mean I am thrilled that my only housing option is outside Stormwind. I would even have preferred the new Night Elf city to that. Least it would have been on the in the same area as my racial home.
The private neighborhoods are for groups of friends and/or guilds. My guess is that establishing a private neighborhood will require something similar to a guild charter; requiring multiple players contributing to establishing it.
Yes, and they also said that they didn’t want to spread it out too much because they having too many would conflict with one of their pillars, so best to speak up now.
Blizzard I’m begging you to let Horde have actual structures and not the strewn together huts that the Horde usually gets. Do not repeat the mistake you made with garrisons.
This is quite exciting, and I understand only two starting zones. Can’t wait!
Keep cooking.
This is my biggest concern now. It would be terrible being stuck with a Stormwind house for Alliance and Orc huts for the Horde.
I wish I could opt to not be in a neighborhood. Let me have my little instances house all to myself without other players being near me or possibly walking into my place.
And how are we going to have our friends live next to us in a “public” neighborhood? Is it going to be first come first serve? Or willl the houses still be instanced but apart of some greater “neighborhood” so you walk out and see a bunch of people just standing around.
Will my “house” be away from the general /say chats? Or /yells? Or will I have to deal with seeing all that nonsense?
I do not like the neighborhood idea.
Especially considering a plurality of Horde players play Elves, don’t shoehorn us into Orc aesthetics. Even if the zone is Orcish, let us at least make our house not.
Okay, going to be getting the house on my Alliance characters. Not a fan of the location for the Horde houses. Though overall I like the direction it seems to be headed.
I think Blizzard wants to start small and get it right, before expanding outwards to the newer (and more popular) cities afterwards.
Neighborhoods are a bad idea.
Let me have a nice quiet plot of land away from the distractions of other people. If I want random interactions I can go back to standing in Orgrimmar.
