Omg yes, yes, yes, yes!!! Neighborhoods? Extensive customization? Keep it coming blizz, we need to be spoiled more!
Really excited for how the zoning will work as well, after all these years of wishing, it’s finally happening 8D

So just concept art and some ideas that “might” be implemented. /yawn
I’ll worry about it when we actually get something real.
My looking forward to my abandoned neighbourhood.
The neighborhoods idea is such an awesome solution to the inherent problems with instanced housing. Love this.
As a part of our focus on wide adoption, we wanted to ensure that Housing is available to everyone. If you want a house, you can have a house. No exorbitant requirements or high purchase costs, no lotteries, and no onerous upkeep (and if your subscription lapses, don’t worry, your house doesn’t get repossessed!)
Ha! This is a jab at FFXIV’s housing system.
Hell yeah!
People will find something to complain about, but this is awesome.
This might cause SE to rethink their strategy a bit. lol
This is an amazing announcement, although I must say as a goblin fanatic I am thoroughly disappointed to hear that every race’s capital city will not be getting their own neighborhood. I was hoping to maybe have a house in obscure zones like feralas or badlands and such, but not even darnassus or zandalar, undermine? I think that’s a hugely missed opportunity! Still really excited, though.
They haven’t gone anywhere, have they?
Can you not go to Boralus and queue for them?
Please consider putting instanced housing in other places. I beg you. Not everyone wants to be part of the Humans or the Orcs. For example, I would love a house in Valdrakken. I do not need it to be a neighborhood. A door in the city where I could zone into my own little instanced house would be perfect.
I just don’t want to be lumped in the Human areas just because I chose Alliance, or the Orc areas just because I happen to be playing Horde. That was one of the things that sucked about Garrisons.
Look, Holly is from EQ2, so she should be familiar with what I am asking for. The housing there had a ward in each city with doors you could interact with to go into your version of a house, that would be perfect for the non neighborhood cities.
so the houses will be the same size then if we get them for free?
if so heck yea not gold dump
OOF,
First impressions are: Mixed.
Not exactly the direction I wanted. Expectations remain: Low.

I see that Hati is not properly leashed, nor you have a bag to clean up this… deposit.
That’s going to be at least two separate fines.
No Mulgore for Horde.
not at the start
there we go, this is a lot more explanation than the last post of vagaries and riddles.
I’m excited with the neighborhood option where guilds and friends can develop it together. Loving that option. I do wish we had more neighborhood options launching sooner. Give us options to live within new neighborhoods of the capital cities (not just Org and SW for crying out loud, spread us out).
One other big call out…please bring a lot of the decor items to crafting professions. Really go all out and give the professions something useful to do outside of entry level gear no one really needs by the time they level up enough.
Private Neighborhoods created by groups of friends or guilds to inhabit, progress, and customize together.
I’m going to cry. I can live together with my guild!

They literally said these were the starting zones. Relax.
All looks interesting. Hopefully, the stated goals make it to production. Garrisons were supposed to be much different than what we received. I am just hoping this isn’t the same.
At this point, I’ll be building my house on the Alliance side. Not really a fan of Orgrimmar and Durotar architectures and landscapes.
As a horde player, I gotta say I am not excited about the choice of Barrens, Azshara themes. I certainly hope it’s not just desert and an ugly goblin exploited forest to choose from, as the Elwynn/Duskwood options are infinitesimally superior
