I want to play a rogue due to them always being viable, good, and always more to learn but I want to have it on a very good PvP race for alliance. I prefer void elves due to their stealth animation and combat animation looking amazing, and me grinding to unlock them but lots of people tell me Nelf is just an ultimately better choice if I’m playing alliance, am I actually missing out THAT MUCH for picking a velf over nelf? Or does it really not matter in the long run
Front flips vs some dumb spin.
Excuse yourself honey, that’s elegance

Shadowmeld is bloody incredible for rogues. It’s literally a 2nd Vanish.
Night Elf is amazing, especially if you take Subterfuge talent. Lets you use CS/Garrote silence again. Void Elf gets a teleport on a 3min CD.
So the teleport wouldn’t be useful for a rogue compared to shadowmeld right? for pvp purposes
you also get haste/crit buff, and faster movement during stealth. All the Night Elf racials are good for a rogue or druid.
nelf is insanely good
if u don’t care for a free vanish with nelf then no u aren’t losing much lol
Nelf is super amazing for rogue because you can use it in so many ways. Here are some examples:
Nelf half sap off a poly
Nelf sap off blind
Nelf restealth
Nelf cheap shot
Swap healer with kidney then nelf into cheap shot into garrote
Caught in the open and getting gpyed and chaos bolted? Just nelf when both are in the air flying at you and you immune them both!
Meteor about to hit you? Nelf and immune it as it lands.
The only downside of nelf rogue is like 1/10 times it glitches out and you can’t press garrote for some reason. Small price to pay for all the up sides tho.
Velf can be interesting, but I can’t see it having nearly as many upsides.
Also night elves get 2% extra haste at night time btw.
Wait, shadowmeld makes you invincible or something??
You say “half sap off a poly” idk what that means, but you can shadowmeld a gpy coming at you? Or a meteor falling on you from fire mage and it not hit?
Forgive me for noob questions I’ve really only played horde side and just starting up pvp
Yea so shadowmeld has weird coding. They fixed it once but players got mad cuz we think it’s cool and reverted it. Basically if a spell is already cast and in the air, if you press shadow meld at that point it will immune you to the cast. Best example is gpy. Mage casts gpy. Takes a long time to get to you. You shadowmeld as it slowly flies to you. It does 0 dam.
1/2 sap off poly means your mage goes to polymorph a healer. He tries to get a another polymorph but he can not. You then sap out of the polymorph to keep the cc chain going. Polymorph and sap share diminishing returns though so it will only be a 4 second sap and not 8.
Nelf is better but nelf only has the female option, which looks pretty good tbh.
only if youre a femboy
Oh, so every nelf rogue is a femboy now? I mean, it’s 2020 but dunno, I wouldn’t be so sure about that.
I specified how u said it only has female option but was generally a troll reply
Well honestly seems like there’s 0 reason to pick a velf over nelf in any form of the game as a rogue so I’ll just settle on a nelf since I don’t want to pay for a race change down the road, thank you so very much for the info and everything
Glad to help out
