Today just did a Build for a 9800x3D Btag Friend. Shipping him the Rig Monday once I finish testing to make sure its 100% ready to send.
Runs 5-8c Cooler in WoW and 5% faster in group content (more so due to higher 1% lows) than my 7950x3D @4k Resolution. In non Group content they are they same except for temps
Tested it 3x. Same result each time

Computer Base (it’s in German) ran a review with the 9800X3D, 7800X3D, 9700x, and 7700x all on the same mobo and ram with CPUs @ 4.8ghz. Definitely interesting to see the IPC of each respective CPU but the 9800X3D (clear top dog even at 4.8ghz) drew a few more watts than the 7800X3D (obviously a dual CCD 7950X3D would be higher). Did you set up an air cooler or AIO?
