I absolutely hate Demon Blades. I just always feel like I’m rage starved, and I prefer active to passive rage generation, but my DPS is not very high. Does anyone have an Insatiable Hunger build that still puts up decent numbers?

To the OP - I’m currently leveling a DH and I’ve scoured the Internet for builds that don’t take Demon Blades as well, haven’t found one sadly. I hated it at first too and felt like I didn’t have any control over my fury regen aside from Felblade and Immolation Aura/ VR. I’ve gotten used to it now though just takes a bit of patience and practice.

The way the math works, demon blades is going to be better than demon’s bite in pretty much every combination of talents. Havoc as a spec atm is very much global cooldown locked, meaning every global cooldown is sacred. Demon’s bite is an extremely low damaging ability, so the GCD is better used on something else.
No need to be rude, he’s just a guy asking a question about a new spec.

Fury and rage function nearly identically, there’s no real reason to be pedantic about the terminology. If I call a ship a boat it’s technically wrong, but most people will understand what I’m referring to.

Your response still had no quality, when someone asks a question legitimately wanting to know, and your post comes off as a troll, don’t expect to not to get flack for it lol.
Just remember to use your racials like arcane torrent and ability like sigil of flame. Those also generate fury on top of isolated prey with fel rush.

Make a troll post in GD and everyone gives you flack for it, but oh man make a harmless joke in a class forum and everyone loses their minds, what a double standard.

I use Demon’s Bite with Insatiable Hunger and not Demon Blades and I do well with it. I have several ways of generating Fury besides that and I don’t really need to use it all that often but it’s useful to have a way of always generating Fury if you need to do that when you don’t have the other ways available to you.
If you don’t mind me asking, Tarandian, what is your ilvl and what kinda numbers do you put up?
I tried a Demon Blades build, and did less DPS than I was doing with Instatiable Hunger. I don’t think my haste is high enough, but if I’m onto something here…

you really need to go to the fel hammer discord for further help. cause theres a high chance your not running the best builds with demon blade and competely messing up your essb window. which is the bulk of havocs dps. your probably not using vengeful retreat which generates alot of fury every 20 seconds, along with burning hatred.
you could play demons bite with no movers or movers but as long as your not messing up your essb window, you can probably top charts in heroic raiding or normal raiding. or ,ow key levels. theoretically and based on your own skill level ofcourse
Right now I’m ilvl 414 and I do 18s and 19s in time depending on which dungeon it is. My haste is only about 11% but I have Windswept Pages which does increase it from time to time.
The high end havoc build makes you stack crit and mastery. Do you have high numbers of both? After buffs, I usually sit around 51% crit and 55% mastery, which really pumps out some big numbers for the spec. Haste isn’t really something you need to worry about too much, I think I’m sitting at 6% (lol).
It might also be just user error (no offense ofc). ATM the highest simming build is a shattered destiny/essence break build which uses momentum, so you have a lot of dps windows and burst combos to think of. Not only that, but you get to do it all and keep track of the windows while making sure you don’t fel rush into a swirly and kill yourself 
Now that I think about it, if I was hypothetically given demon blades AND demon’s bite, I would barely press it. ATM if you ever have a dead GCD you use throw glaive, but I only press TG a handful of times through a raid boss encounter if ever. Havoc is so GCD locked its insane, which is most likely why demon blades is the go to talent option.
