What i mean is. Im tired of cross realm zones. Im sick and tired of not seeing people of my server being on a different phase than i am.

And i get it. People want their game play to feel full. But there was reasons people played on emerald dream and it takes away from this server from being unique. It all just becomes some generic blob.

I get it. Subs a low and blizzard does not want players to feel like they are alone.

BUT! With things like making new toons they can just start over on a new server.

And it sucks when i have to use real world politics as part of my analogy, but i lack any other better visual for this.

By making servers generic like this it just becomes a buzz kill for what ever original reason people come here for. A community. When its generic there is no real reason to bond to that servers community. You become more disconnected.

And yeah negative aspect is im basically letting other servers feel more empty and unpopulated. But in reality. They always were. Its like putting make up on a pig. Its still a pig no matter how you dress it up.

Anyways i hope for good and meaningful input.

But like Talesin i kinda expect it to be “A #### show, Obviously…”

High pop and full pop servers shouldn’t have crz period.

Logged on to my old low pop server and saw literally no one from that server in Org. Just a bunch of crz people.

I went out to the docks last night to try and engage you and the tribe and all I saw was other rp servers. I was so disappointed. I hate crz, sharding or whatever the name they call it. RP servers should not be shard with other servers. Merge the low pop RP servers into one server and stop this sharding.
The kitty is done throwing a hissy fit.

It is one of the reason why classic will suck up a lot of players. The no sharding, having 40+ people around and it aint an issue.

From what I’ve heard they’re trying a new layering technique that if successful should hopefully move over to the core product.

Roll anything on a Normal realm and behold the player traffic its cray.

What you’re describing is for the benefit of the lesser populated RP realms and doesnt come at the cost of “seeing less people on your own realm” because thats not how vidja games work.

Use that meatball encased inside of your gigantic tauren skull.

EDIT: to clarify, we link up with the other RP realms and are “separate” from normal (malicious zerg groups notwithstanding lol). And thats fine. More than fine its technology, ever evolving. WOAH INTERNET THE FUTURE IS NOW.

I am lost. Last I checked I had to group with my guildies just to be able to see them out in the damn world because we are always sharded differently, yet I get to see the lovely players from argent dawn and kirin tor, you know, people I never wanna see.

I have to assume you are a troll, or just never left orgrimmar/stormwind, if you have never had that issue.

No, not trolling. I’ll re-read OP to make sure I didn’t miss anything, but I probably just leaned a little too far into joke making instead of actually explaining myself. My bad.

Okay so when or under what circumstances do you find yourself unable to physically (“physically”) meetup with guildies in the game world? Where are you seeing these argent dawn and kirin tor folk? Like… I cant imagine this is a constant (like, unrelenting from the moment you log in) problem that affects gameplay or even immersion (well not being able to link up with guildies but ive personally never had that issue, apart from a difference in our WM toggle.)

So lets break what youre saying down into the constants surrounding it.

I feel like OP is on to… like the BEGINNING of an idea of how our experience in the world could be improved, but it feels like a he’s stuck and looking at the pieces of the problem and struggling to find the ones that fit together.

Id like to reiterate though that I really dont think your guildies are being muscled out of some number of a available slots in favor of folks from other realms. Idk sounds like a weird silly problem like youre on the news complaining about how your neighborhood is going to the dogs idk. thats what it feels like, not saying your crazy or anything.

I feel like the problem that OP has could be better addressed if we were better able to articulate it

Also, it feels like a the secondary problem being presented is the mere presence of people from other RP realms? Am I understanding that right? Are the lesser populated RP realms populated with toxic players or something? idk whats wrong with argent dawn and kirin tor people now and again?

It isnt that they are toxic, it is that there is 0 realm priority in the sharding system (my guild is wm on and we rp in warmode in current zones so that also may be the issue as that is the heaviest sharded area.)

It has been a long known issue. (But anyway, going to bed, just replying where it happens for clarification)

sadly, this is a lot of times. standing right next to my wife and unless we group up, we can’t see each other. at the bank in the pyramid. warmode on. same guild, sitting 3 feet from each other IRL. there has to at least be a priority system and yet, there is nothing. Yes, there are a couple of folks from Earthen Ring, I see all the time.

Granted my grammar and syntax definitely could use some sproucing.

I am not a problem solver. I find people are generally smarter and more creative than i am. But its amazing how quick people can figure out and discuss possible solutions, when the problem can be layed out in front of them.

And Ha! Meatball… I see what you did there…

Sharding is fine and dandy for those smaller realms as it worked in the past. But this forced sharding has made it difficult for people of the same realm to interact with each other outside of a party and or raid.

I would rather see the small RP servers regularly with us then continuously rotate them and us around. It is not fair to the RP servers. ED is the 3rd largest server and ER is the smallest RP server, so bring them over with the other previous RP-PVP servers and let us fight it out in a RP-PVP setting or PVP setting if we have warmode on. I would rather be unbalanced in Warmode and fight the same folks than to shard us. We all have the option to turn warmode off and cause the other faction to lose % the next week. :blush:
Just some of my thoughts on it.

we had this same issue last night. we couldn’t see our guildies on the same realm outside of group. its bad. blizzard needs to fix this some how so that way those on the same realm aren’t on different shards.
