Build Estimate?

Greetings,

I know this might be a long shot but I’m wondering how much I should expect to spend on a gaming computer that I’m looking to build for what I want. My budget will be a maximum of $2500 USD. Right now I’m currently using a FX-6300 with a Radeon RX 470. Computer has slowly been showing it’s age with newer titles that come out. I’m looking for a AMD build with a powerful GPU.

What I’m mostly wanting is be able to play most games on High/Max settings. I understand I can’t do this with WoW and that’s perfectly fine. I also would like to run dual 27 inch 1440p 144hz monitors. Can run VR as well if I ever wanted to get into it.

I’m mostly just into Moba’s MMO’s and ARPG’s if that helps.

Thanks!

How soon do you need this build by? Right now prices are a mess due to shortages of parts.

Are the monitors included in the price or is that something you already own. Assuming you’re in the US?

Monitor’s I’ll be buying at a later time. Would like 2x of the LG 27GL850-B 144hz Nano IPS 1ms models. I am in the US. Build can be at a later time not anytime soon.

If the price of monitors are not in your $2500 then this leaves you with a ton of overhead. I would advise against using both monitors to game as the center point would be at the borders of both monitor. PSU prices are a bit high and supply are low.

This is a conservative template as it leaves you with a fair amount left over.

As parts become more readily available prices should be more stable. Newer parts such as the Ryzen XT (a revise version of the current chips) are around the corner and GPUS are coming in the following month.

I like this build, but i’d cheap out on the secondary display. You won’t be gaming on it, just get something that is IPS with good color quality. Can spend half that much on the secondary display.

Would the computer try to display the game on both monitors? I was gonna use one for primary gaming and the other one for web browsing etc.

Only if you ask it to, and set up eyefinity or something.

Normally the game will allow you to select a display to use. Usually play in borderless windowed mode, and mouse can freely move back and forth between game and chrome in the other display.

I’m guessing in full screen it doesn’t give you that option?

Full screen will occupy one screen, but when you click on the other screen it will minimize the game.

I believe WoW does not have the option to do the old full screen, but it does do a “fullscreen” window mode.
