Buidling upon a GREAT feature - WARGAME

As many of you know, Wargames have been discovered in Classic Wow, allowing for teams to battle each other in a friendly “premade versus premade” environment.

To add accessibility to more players, I feel there should be minor changes to the Wargame format that would allow players to compete at the highest level, without breaking the bank. Consumables (and engineering) play a massive factor in Classic Wow, but unfortunately this can be a deterrent for players that don’t want to spend 200g+ on a battleground that grants no honor.

I propose that consumables spent during the duration of the Wargrame, should be refunded back to the player after leaving the zone.

For example, if a player enters with 20 Free Action Potions and uses only 4 during the duration of the game - 4 Free Action Potions will be refunded to the player either thru direct inventory deposit or in-game mail. If a player uses all 20 Free Action Potions, they will not be allowed to trade with teammates - this will avoid possible item dupes and the players will be responsible to come to the match prepared.

Here is a list of consumables that I feel should be refunded after the match:
-Free Action Potion
-Limited Invulnerability Potion
-Restorative Potion
-Swiftness Potion
-Thorium Grenade or Iron Grenade
-Goblin Rocket Boots
-Goblin Rocket Helm
-Flash Bomb
-Goblin Sapper Charge
-Anti-Venom
-Heavy Runecloth Bandage
-Major Healing Potion
-Whipper Root Tuber
-Night Dragon’s Breath
-Elixir of Poison Resistance
-Noggenfogger Elixir
-Discombobulator Ray
-Catseye Elixir
-Mighty Rage potion
-Jungle Remedy
-Thistle Tea
-Major Mana Potion
-Dark Rune/Demonic Rune
-Major Rejuvination Potion
-Magic Resistance Potion
-Oil of immolation
-Invisibility Potion

In addition to refunding on use consumables, Goblin Rocket Boots should also be considered an item that is not destroyed during a Wargame. If rocket boots do break, that action will still be accompanied by a knockdown animation and the item will go on cooldown (this should be a longer than normal cooldown, forcing the player to come prepared with several pairs).

Blizzard, Chinese Servers have an official ladder for wargames posted on their website https:// esports. blizzard. cn/wow/rank

Why doesn’t NA or EU servers have this type of support from Blizzard?

In conclusion, these recommended changes would allow more players to compete in competitive battlegrounds, without being asked to spend ludicrous amount of gold and time. Wargames are a great feature, and as their popularity continues to increase, these Quality of Life changes will only help to propel their exposure.

If a player doesn’t want to pay/farm for consumables, they don’t get them. Simple as that. It’s all part of the game.

It’s a wargame. Both sides are choosing to fight each other. Should be easy enough to just mutually agree to not use consumes.

I’m OK with this

Nah, JUST agree to not use them and then you don’t need to change the game any further.

I agree. It is little things like this that add up that has made retail so unbelievably boring.

The idea sounds great on paper but I like the idea that other people suggested where players just agree to not use them.

I look at the game from more of an RP perspective. So the reason why I like the idea more of people not using consumables is because the wargames are a friendly skirmish between “friends” so going all out and trying to decimate each other just doesn’t make sense.

Now consuming consumables in a BG makes more sense because it’s an all out brawl between opposing factions. So it would make more sense for people to use everything they have at their disposal.
