Got a +11 Galakrond’s Fall key. Can’t list it. Been an issue since start of season 3. It tries to list it as Murozond’s Rise.
Can’t manually change it, with LFG restrictions you can’t change the dungeon unless you have the whole SMS/authenticator thing. I don’t have a phone to link because phones are too expensive in Canada(you can still use old fashion authenticator) - I still have a landline.
So this is what, week 4? And this “bug” still exists.
Every since time a dungeon has been added with 2 parts, this bug has happened. Usually fixed within the first few days. But this is 4 weeks! Clearly because most have SMS they just ignore this issue? My key is “dead” unless I can get into another run with someone else and exchange my keystone.
Just tells me “one or more of your dungeons are invalid” when I try to make my own group for my key.
Oh please can we try and be more dramatic? I think you haven’t yet reached the world record.
List the dumb key, invite someone and say “hey it’s bugged and actually the other and I can’t change it cause no SMS. All good if you were looking for the other”. People will either accept it or move on. Many may just want to run it for the score/crests.
So you are saying you are unable to even list the key flat out period? Correct or incorrect info?
If so, well that sucks but I know some people can/have because I’ve been bamboozled like 3x between last week and today. I still ran them but it is irritating but obviously not a quick fix or I highly doubt they would’ve kept it around this long.
2FA is an absolute necessity. It’s probably not even a bug. Every single software company is being crushed to death by the weight of users who wont activate their second factor of authentication. Probably 80% of the things being done inside Blizzard are in some way related to trying to stop a wave of cyber attacks against Blizzard. Everyone is suffering from this. You wont play ball, so why should they?
Correct. Without SMS I cannot list Galakrond’s Fall key PERIOD. It just says “one or more dungeons is invalid” and refuses to list my key at all. 4 weeks of this, where I can list any key until I get Galakrond’s Fall then I cannot. And this week I started with a Galakrond’s Fall key
Well then I don’t know what is going on with the other bamboozle runs then unless it’s people intentionally doing it (which I doubt). Sorry to hear it.
You can run a different key and let the panda change it
Been doing that for 4 weeks, but makes it harder the higher the keys get to get invited. 2k+ players are farming 11’s. So it’s harder to get invited to keys 11+
Seems like a non-issue to me, basically everyone (young, old, black, white, poor, rich, etc) has a smartphone in the year 2023. At this point if you still don’t have your own smartphone I don’t know what to tell you
I know even poverty-level peasants in 3rd world countries seem to have smartphones (judging by all the random videos they post on Facebook/twitter/TikTok), so there really isn’t an excuse to not have one in a first-world country like Canada
Down here in America the government even has subsidy/welfare programs like “LifeLine” that pay some or all of a cellphone bill for lower-income types. Not sure if Canada has similar subsidy programs for low-income types but maybe you should investigate or ask the welfare office (it’s possible said programs are under a similar name). It doesn’t hurt to ask, maybe they have a cellphone subsidy program for poors up there as well
I had an iPhone 4 until it died in June lol. It didn’t do much at the end, no apps or anything worked. Then battery just couldn’t last more then 15-20 mins. I don’t text people or call people I truly have no use for one.
Hard to believe there’s GD’ers actually “threatening to quit the game” over something as trivial/fluff-y as a smartphone
I use mine CONSTANTLY tbh (pretty much during all waking hours/while I’m awake and it’s within reach), it’s just so much more convenient than the keyboard of either a laptop or a desktop (which require me to be physically sitting in front of them)
and phone based sms authentication is the cheapest worst most insecure option of 2fa. the only thing it does effectively is disenfranchise people on low incomes. companies just like it cause it saves them money from using an actual good 2fa authentication system like I DUNNO PHYSICAL BASED KEYFOB which while crackable are MUCH HARDER TO CRACK.
