Bugs bugs bugs and they want to reduce addons lul

I just got done filling out more in game bug reports for stuff that shouldn’t need a bug report because it happens to literally everyone I know.

  • things being placed on the ceiling when you try and put them on the ground
  • blinking/shimmering across what appears to be flat ground and there’s one tiny pixel of terrain that stops you. Or heaven forbid you try and go up stairs, the mage tech just doesn’t exist for that.
  • trying to place something on the ground and being told “no path available” because there’s a slight texture or terrain difference from where you are standing.
  • target marks not appearing for some people, happens in solo shuffle all the time even though other people can see them. I’ve been on both ends of that bug.

These are the kinds of bugs that make you wonder if the devs really don’t play their own game.

Lets not even get into class specific stuff like shaman earth shields dropping off at the start of instanced content if you have the perma shield talent.

I hate to be so pessimistic when I generally agree with their stated intent in removing add on functionality but I honestly can’t see how they can manage it. The time it takes them to fix stuff that’s BROKEN is so long it just isn’t going to be conducive to them implementing their own addons in a way that won’t piss us all off.

I mean, I literally made a weak aura that loads when I have the perma earth shield talent and I don’t have earth shield on myself in instanced zones. That way I don’t have to worry about double checking it every start of M+ or arena. That bug has existed since they implemented that talent, how many weeks ago now?

As a gnome enjoyer I feel your pain of not being able to “see” something I can clearly see as the player. My gnome can’t see it which means he can’t do the spell there, I guess.

I’m just glad there isn’t very many instances of my vulpera/gnome characters having to “swim” because it’s a shin deep puddle of water everyone else can run through. The giant boss in siege of boralus always irked me on my vulpera warrior because his boss area has that tiny puddle of water that I would have to swim through if I didn’t avoid it.
