World Boss Dragon didnt drop anything, and huge lag spikes.
Grand Hunt, lag spikes and fps drops.
Valdrakken giving me 50fps on a 2080ti and watercooled flagship cpu ON MEDIUM SETTINGS MOSTLY.
World Quests disapearing for no reason, or clipping with other quests and cancelling either one out back and fourth. Making both unplayable.
Seriously 50fps in Valdrakken… in 2022… with your budget? Are you kidding me?
All in all I really rate Dragonflight highly, on paper purely looking at the game itself… 9/10. Near Perfect.
HOWEVER as Developers, Blizzard get a 0.5/10. Not even worth a 1. Its just constant disappointments and BASIC mistakes or laziness in optimization, logging in on day 1 etc etc… Dont even get me started on the battle.net app…
Please just hand WoW over to a Microsoft team and close Blizzard down. Seriously, they have such a sensational game on their hands in theory… but EVERY let down is just on the developers laziness and mistakes. Fire basically everyone at Blizzard, give it to a Microsoft team who actually care.
WoW has always been pretty CPU reliant (and more specifically, needs high single threaded performance — high multicore doesn’t make a difference) and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what you’re seeing here. What CPU model you have specifically?
Not excusing poor optimization of course, but it’s not anything new.
Watercooler i9 10900k. Which I serviced and cleaned/repasted at a professional PC store about 2mths ago.
I refuse to believe its on my specs, this was flagship stuff in 2018. It should run WoW at 144fps everywhere. I just have textures Ultra the rest medium basically.
Yes this expansion has been a huge disappointment to me also. I had to unsub, as I don’t like the direction the game has gone. No one can have my gold.
Chyea… like I went way overboard with flagship gear for this PC only like 4yrs ago. Best stuff I could find in Russia without waiting months. Its optimization, not our rigs.
LOL now this:

THIS IS WHAT WE MEAN BLIZZARD… WTF DO YOU MEAN 3 REPLIES??? THIS ISNT A FORUM THEN IS IT??? WHAT IS THIS CRAP. IM DONE.
Back I started playing in Vanilla, my machine got 20-30FPS max in most outdoor areas and the kicker is that my machine was a good deal better than what most folks were playing on back then.
Yeah that should be fine, so long as thermals are good. I know you got it repasted and all but it might be a good idea to take a peek at your temperatures while WoW is running anyway, just in case there’s something funky going on.
Hmm interesting. I guess I’ll have to see how my machine fares. If a 5950X/3080Ti is choking there there’s definitely something wrong with the game.
How am I a “Drama Queen” for wanting the game we pay obscene money for to simply run at a decent frame rate, drop items when world bosses are killed… and FUNCTION?
Seriously? Where do you get off gate keeping actual criticism?
So I just flew around Valdrakken for a bit, and with ultra settings and raytracing turned on high with a 5950X/3080Ti, I see FPS sitting around ~80-100FPS most of the time, with occasional dips to ~60-75FPS. It’s definitely harder on my machine than the surrounding zones which run at 90-120FPS at the same settings most of the time.
WoW’s performance scales perceptibly to 28 core since the last DX12 implementation. Single threaded performance being the one true stat died months ago.
