Buggy Flying Breath Abilities

The abilities I’m referencing are:

  • Deep Breath (Default)
  • Breath of Eons (Augmentation)
  • Dream Flight (Preservation)

I find these abilities to be fun to use, but casting them can be challenging due to terrain variables. Often, I struggle to find the perfect spot to click, which results in the ability not casting at all or casting at a shorter distance than intended.

Currently, we can manually adjust the length of these abilities, but I think a more effective solution would be to allow them to cast at a default length by simply aiming in a direction. The ability could then be canceled at any time, which would still provide flexibility while resolving many of the pathfinding issues I encounter in PvP.

I believe in the beta they were working differently and instead just activate in the direction you face. But i could be wrong, maybe its only with scalecommander capstone

It’s with Scalecommander because of how maneuverability functions.

It feels a little snappier in general and flies faster even as non-SC, but doesn’t activate the same way.

It would be nice if deep breath worked the way scalecommander does, maybe make it the default way and just buff scalecommander.

Usability of a spell shouldn’t be dependent on spec, imo. And I am not talking about spells being completely changed in the way they function or what they do, scalecommander deep breath is just massively better and locking that behind a spec seems almost malicious.

It almost seems to be getting buggier and buggier after the most recent patch, it’s really bad and needs to be fixed. If I can’t cast it because the terrain isn’t perfect, that is not acceptable, in my opinion.

Also, the path guide is constantly glitching when trying to path the ability.

Its surprising how often I activate deep breath and just hover in place not doing damage and unable to move or cancel the ability. I essentially stun myself instead of using my dps cooldown. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Honestly Scalecommander breath just feels like the way these should’ve been working since evoker was released lol.

The ground targeting is silly and actually only makes sense if we could send a copy of ourselves to breath for us like Frost wyrm
