Whenever I press the Big Red Button the explosions go off, but instead of getting flown back, I get ejected out of the helicopter and parachute to the ground and the quest doesn't get completed. I have done this around 10 times now and the same results each attempt.

Yeah, disabling my addons worked for me also.
Azeroth Auto-Pilot was bugging the quest for me until I turned it off.

Yea same problems. All addons disabled… no cutscene … airplane just flys around and around… no special abilities appear in the action bar.
No addons here, and still i just fly around in circles until it drops me on the ground
The world quest Zem’lan Rescue interferes with this quest. Completing the WQ and then using the helicopter allows the quest to proceed normally.
