Heyo! Questing in Northrend to complete loremaster. I’m attempting to complete a quest called “Hard to Swallow” which requires you to weaken a mob called “Hulking Jormungar” (ID 26293) and then throw a quest item at it in it’s weakened state. (quest item ID: 36732)
The toy “soft foam sword” (ID:137663) was created to weaken enemies when you are already overlevlled. For some reason this toy does not work on this mob, making this quest very hard to complete after-the-fact. I can’t think of any reason why this mob should be immune to the toy so i can only assume this interaction is unintended.

how did you get past this quest?
I’m also stuck on this quest for Loremaster. Submitted a ticket with no help so far.
It looks like you do not need to complete that quest anymore to get the achievement.

I used this. It made the tosser open its mouth. Blew into seven pieces. Only needed six to complete the quest. But the actual hit zone is a lot smaller than the green circle, so be quick to adjust where you’re pulling, as the item has a five minute cooldown.

Read from the Q&A page for Blizz that the Soft Foam Sword does not work on elites or rares. That is why it will not work for this quest.
I have a work around for anyone that needs to do this as of 10.2.6 patch. The worms have enough HP to survive being hit by auto attacks if you unequip everything.
