This racial ability sometimes grants you a “copy” of whatever fish or piece of meat that you just looted, notably even granting duplicates of things like Old Ironjaw or Old Crafty (notoriously difficult to catch fish in Ironforge and Orgrimmar with their own achievements).
On various Highmountain Tauren characters I’ve leveled, this procs fairly often in certain areas then almost not at all in other areas. Legion-related zones seem to have a proc rate of around 15%-20% according to one comment (I’ve seen similar results).
But when fishing on my new Highmountain Tauren toon (currently level 77), this racial benefit has never procced for me even once while fishing for hours in Khaz Algar.
The code surrounding this ability can’t be that complicated to fix… can it?
Also, I don’t know why Kul Tiran don’t have a racial ability that allows them to fish faster (15s channel instead of the standard 20s).
