BUG: Training Herbalism but not being taught "Find Herbs" if done at low level

I wanted to test and see if I could learn herbalism right at level 1 to get to herbs before other people did. I made a NE and ran to the herbalism trainer and was able to purchase Herbalism training, but “Find Herbs” never showed up in my spellbook. I relogged/restarted game, etc. Also tried to level a character to level 2 and learn herbalism, and still no such luck. However, when I was level 4/5 and learned Herbalism, it appeared right away.

Easy bug to replicate for yourself, create a night elf, grab the delivery quest to the inn so you have the copper to train herbalism, train it, and see that you do not have “Find Herbs”. I don’t think this is how it acted in classic, can anybody verify? Anck!

Well if this IS true, the bug was that you were able to train a profession before level 5.

You could always train gathering professions at 1. It was the crafting professions (i.e. BS/LW, etc.) you needed to be 5 to train.

Just leveled the character up to 3 and thats when find herbs appeared in my spellbook. Blizz - can you confirm this is working as intended or is expected behavior to get “Find Herbs” as soon as you learn herbalism?
