Shots FIred is part of the new warfront questline released with 8.1. You’re supposed to use a cannon to blow up horde boats passing through the sea gate. However, the cannon’s trajectory is fixed. It cannot be raised or lowered. Shots fired from it miss virtually every boat that passes by because they fall short. I am presuming this is a bug with the quest, as it seems you should be able to fix the trajectory for your shots and hit boats further out in the channel. As it is, you can barely get the quest completed because only the absolute closest boats passing by can be hit by the cannon currently.

I cannot complete the quest because of what was mentioned above, it’s rather frustrating. Other people claim to have completed it.
This quest is bugged in at least two ways:

Targeting is broken. It is almost impossible to actually aim the cannon so as to hit the boats.

When one does manage to sink a boat, it only occasionally will be counted as sunk, so that the quest takes even longer to complete.
Blizzard, don’t you test these things in PTR? Isn’t that one of the main purposes of PTR – to fix obvious and egregious malfunctions before going live?
