It appears this bug is happening with almost every mount in my Mount Collection except for a select few. Did some further testing on this bug.

I looted the mount, Pearlescent Krolusk tonight from the rare, Urmag in K’aresh! However, When I go to summon it via Phase Diving, It turns into Phase-Lost Slateback which is part of the achievement, Phase-Lost-and-Found.

I currently do not have that achievement earned. And when I look up the Phase-Lost Slateback mount in my Mount Collection Tab. It’s listed as Not Learned. So not sure why this mount is being summoned instead of my Pearlescent Krolusk mount.

I thought ALL mounts change to the Slateback while phase diving?

Or at least that’s how I thought they had coded it.

I’ve never been able to summon anything other than the Slateback while phase diving. The mounting animation for whatever mount I select starts, but I end up on a Slateback every time.

I also have not completed the achievement to get the regular Slateback mount for context.

This is correct. On the cloak for the skill that lets you mount up while phased, it even specifics Slateback. The summon animation will say X mount, but you will always ride a Slateback.

Edit:

The mount you earn from that achievement just lets you ride a Slateback anywhere instead of just phase diving.

I have never been able to use any mount while phase diving. How do I unlock this? I’ve seen other players flying or running on mounts while in phase diving.

You need to get your Reshii Wraps up to rank 3 to be able to use mounts.

For flying, I don’t know what you’re seeing. Only the ground mount is allowed while Phase Diving. There’s a world quest that tosses you up into the sky from a tornado and you float through orbs. There’s another world quest that transforms you into an orb to squash bugs. This has an extra action button that lets you jump extremely high. Maybe a toy that launches you up, though I’m not sure if toys works while phased as I’ve never tried.

Maybe you are confusing those with flying if they were gliding down?
