Bug Information:
I was looking at my achievements in-game and under the Player vs Player tab, There is several achievements listed that only the other Faction in-game can earn. So you may want to remove them as Alliance / Horde players cannot earn them - Unless they become Account-Wide achievements.
On my main account, I am experiencing the same issue. I first noticed it under the Draenor garrison achievements, where Alliance achievements were showing up. Then, I discovered that an achievement called âMaster and Commanderâ was missing. When I checked the PvP tab, the same issue occurred: Alliance PvP achievements were appearing. I compared the maximum number of achievements to my friendâs account; mine shows 5,130 achievements while my friendâs shows 4,670
I also am experiencing this. In my Alliance guild, we are working on the Stay Classy. It shows the Alliance Stay Classy however the other Achievements to earn in the General tab are Hord, Classy Orcs, Classy Tauren, etc.
On the achievement âCity Defenderâ (kill 50 players in one of your capital cities), I had the achievement already on my Horde player. The Alliance version of the achievement is now also displaying on my Horde character, but had 35/50 kills done.
Based on that fact, I realized that the kills being tracked was not based on whether you were in a capital of your own faction, but rather that each achievement was simply designed to track how many kills you had gotten in the Horde group of cities vs. the Alliance group of cities.
In other words, since my Horde had some credit on the Alliance version, but not the same level of credit as the Horde version, it meant that he had killed 50+ player in Horde cities (as a defender), and killed 35 players in Alliance cities (as an invader).
Using that, I tested it out having my Horde character get the remaining 15 kills of Alliance in Stormwind (getting a friend to help test it). I got the remaining 15 kills, reaching 50/50 kills for the Alliance version of âCity Defenderâ appearing on my Horde characterâs achievement list. AndâŠ
No achievement popped. It displays the achievement, it tracks the criteria, but if you actually fulfill the criteria (showing a full green bar with the 50/50 number), it does NOT give you the achievement. My guess is that the other Alliance-version PvP achievement now appearing on my Horde character (âKnow They Enemyâ - get killing blows on each of the Horde races) would likewise not grant an achievement for a Horde player if fulfilled (youâd have to fulfill it using mercenary mode).
One other achievement thatâs appeared is for finishing the Dracthyr starting area - I have the Horde version (where the last criteria is the quest you get when joining the Horde), but havenât done it on the Alliance side. I might go through the questline on an Alliance character to test that out too, but it wouldnât surprise me if fulfilling the criteria likewise doesnât grant the achievement, and this is just one big display error.
