Current Build At Time Of This Report: 10.2.7.55261
Bug Information:
At this time, I’m completely unable to complete any of the Fishing World Quest(s) that are up at this time!
I’ve tried both of the Dragonflight Fishing World Quests that are up in:
- Ohn’ahran Plains
- The Waking Shores
Upon trying to complete either quest, I’ll get the following error:
Turn in for “Fishing Frenzy!” failed. This quest’s unique reward already exists in your inventory. Remove it to complete this quest."
Checked my bags and there is no quest reward at all. Nor is the quest items. Hoping for a fix to resolve this issue!

Got this also. On Tichondrius fwiw
someone said to do the restock fish quest, and it will complete fishing frenzy and it worked. hope this helps.

Did you have 16+ Ominous Conches? They only stack to 20, so my assumption when this happened to me was to get rid of some at a Lunker spot. After that, doing the Restock quest triggered the WQ to complete.

I never even saw this change announced. If you are having the same issues. Ominous Conches was changed, they are now unique 20 max. Your extras were removed without compensation.
This seems to be a change made by the accountants, because, gasp, people are doing achievements to finish up things. Unnecessary and uncool that, I may be wrong, it wasnt announced and no compensation made.

I just moved my ominous conch’s into smaller stacks, left the quest area and when I returned I was able to complete it. Hope this helps anyone.

Same thing happened to me. Removed all my Ominous Conch’s and it completed when I left/re-entered the WQ area.

Confirmed. Finally. I dropped 7 of the conchs and went back and it was instantly complete.

I have same problem, I can’t do anything at all. the quest keep stay when I get around. just won’t complete.
Like everyone else said, it’s the number of Ominous Conches. I didn’t have any in my bag so I was confused…checked my bank and had 18 there. Once I used 5 of them and went back to the world quest area, the quest was completed.
WOW! Thank you for this. I couldn’t get it complete just now and was getting the message about my inventory. I didn’t understand then realized I had 16 conches in my bag and the quest rewards 5. Since they are unique 20 it wouldnt give me a completion. thank you!
Well I tried both and nothing I go back to the quest and it still not completing the quest wtf??
this is old but god damn is the only right answer, get rid of some of those conches
Just leaving the objective area and returning finished the quest for me.
