Hey Bliz Support,
I discovered that there is a bug with the Crucible of the Storms Questline (The one with the Gift of N’Zoth) introduced in 8.1.
After acquiring the Xal’atath dagger from Collector Kojo and heading to the island. I find the altar and the dagger and am able to start the quest but upon starting the quest, the dagger phases out. After killing enough naga to fill the bar, the dagger never shows up on the altar again.
I have tried relogging, reloading my UI, disabling all addons and nothing seems to work to complete this quest thus blocking my Dracthyr from completing the quest chain and unlocking the Gift of N’Zoth.
Has anyone run across a similar issue? Is there something I am missing from this?

I’m having a similar issue, the bar fills up but the quest doesn’t finish and I can’t turn it. No gift for my dracthyr

Thanks for replying it is nice to see I am not the only one! Blizzard this seems to be a definite bug and hopefully you can fix it with a future patch!
It’s not just Dracthyr. I have the same issue on a Void Elf.

I checked it on a horde alt as well that wasn’t Dracthyr and had no issues completing the quest. Seems to be Alliance only…
Having same issue with my horde blood elf paladin not getting quest advance once the bar filled up.

Interesting, it worked for me with with my Death Knight Blood Elf. Filled up the bar and got the objective to complete. Maybe its more wide spread than expected. Thanks for letting the thread know, more replies the more sooner we will hopefully get a fix from Blizzard!
Same for me. It’s a wonder they charge the same amount every month and the experience only gets worse. I have a ticket open for this quest right now and the estimated wait time is “11 days 18 hours”

Same issue, had it two weeks ago, came back again today to try again, bar fills to “103/100” but cant do anything or progress.

Same issue here on my Belf Demon Hunter. Got the quest, killed mobs till the bar filled to 101, and the quest refuses to continue. I tried abandoning it and retrying but it still won’t go any further than filling the bar.

Here as well. Level 70 ally shadow priest, bar fills to 102/102 but nothing happens. Abandoned and re-accepted the quest a couple of times, logged in and out, reloaded UI, nothing seemed to work. Logging in and out reset the bar to 2/102, oddly. Hopefully this gets figured out.
I tried again today and managed to complete the quest without any problems. I don’t know if they fixed it or if it was just something I did.

Same problem BEF Hunter , NO BAR shown and quest will NOT complete. Glad D4 will be up soon, will probably cancel wow sub !!!
