Since the Pre-Patch harvesting herb or mineral nodes doesn’t auto loot. I have it enabled and can auto loot corpses.

I have a similar problem. One of my characters cannot auto loot, no matter how I change or reset the setting. My other characters seem to have no problem. I haven’t tested it with “all” my characters, since I have a lot. This is occurring trying to pick herbs at the Garrison.
I’m having the exact same problem. Garrison herbs are auto-looting perfectly fine on everyone except for my Demon Hunter, where I have to manually click on each item in the loot window. I went outside my garrison on my DH, picked a few herbs. and auto-loot worked perfectly. It’s just inside the garrison, on one character.
I don’t always have this issue but occasionally I won’t autoloot mining/herb nodes.
And sometimes I won’t autoloot mobs either.
Been randomly getting loot lag in instances too.
There’s been an update since I last posted, but the once character STILL does not have auto loot.
Another week, another maintenance, another update. This character still cannot auto loot. This only happens in the herb garden. Herbs outside the castles auto loot as normal. Funny thing is, this character is an herbalist. This was working before, but for about three weeks now, is not.
Same issue for this character. Can’t auto loot in the herb garden but mining works fine. Herbing and mining anywhere else auto loots fine as well as looting mobs.
Edit: Also tried on another warrior with herbalism/mining plus other classes and auto loot worked fine in the herb gardens, Horde and Alliance.
2nd edit: Now I’ve found that any character Horde or Alliance with herbalism is unable to auto loot the herb garden. Without herbalism it works fine. Very annoying but at least the game is playable.
I haven’t tried gathering in my garrisons, but I did notice that there were random occurrences in Vol’dun and Zuldazar where the herb nodes would partially auto-loot or would fail completely. I wasn’t purposefully gathering, so… maybe three out of ten to fifteen nodes? Completely random. What didn’t get autolooted did show up in my mailbox, though.
another bug I’ve noticed in addition to auto-loot not working with Herb Gathering/Mining spells, deftness seems to apply to Herb Gathering but not Mining. I mine significantly faster right clicking, though herbing seems to be the same (used a cast bar timer to be sure).
Heading on two months and still broken.

I’ve decided to level up all old alchemy on an ALT therefore I went back to old content to do some Herbalism.
No auto-loot issue when these xpac were learned:
Shadowlands learned (150/150)
Dragon Isles learned (100/100)
Khaz Algar learned (100/100)
Issue (auto-loot Herbalism) starts to develop recently with or without addon when these xpac were learned:
Classic learned (300/300) issue
Outland learned (75/75) issue
Northrend learned (75/75) issue
Draenor learned (2/100) barely tested and can’t remember if issue or not
Auto-loot was working on first pick, then fail miserably after that.
Today i went to Mount Hyjal after completed Northrend Alchemy and issue was there where picking some flowers.
Realized I forgot to pick the Profession, went back to SW to learn it, then back to Hyjal and to my surprise auto-loot is gone (at the moment)
Will monitor if the issue is coming back or not
