The capstone node of Mercurial Materials reads as “Acts of Thaumaturgy with Mercurial Materials now yield a small amount of Ominous Transmutagen.” It currently yields no Ominous Transmutagen at all.

As you can see I am using Mercurial Materials yet not received one single Ominious Transmutagen and I have replicated this test with the other Mercurial Materials so it is not specific to Gloom Chitin.
