Hey Devs,
Temporal beacon is not scaling with crit damage. The healing done is based on the base damage of the spell, not the crit scaled damage. I tested this with Arcane Blast, Arcane Missile, and Spellfrost Bolt.

I’m guessing they don’t consider this a bug. Testing the beacons healing revealed that it has it’s own crit chance which increases healing done by 1.5 and not modified by +healing or any talents I’m aware of.
At least it takes the modified damage after talents, +spell power and whatnot.
Not a bug. The heals cast by temp beacon can all individually crit on their own.
I complained about this too, but as Sôùlbänk said it has it´s own crit chance, and it would also be kind of unbalanced seeing as fof increases crit by 50% with talent. it also works the opposite way. even though a target resists 90% of the damage you deal, you still heal 100% of the potential damage.
however what is buggy and has been entire sod is Chronostatic Preservation cast is treated as a heal therefore you cannot start casting if you have a dead target. the heal is the buff we get after the cast, not the cast itself. that buff can be purged too, losing our heal. this makes it extremely bad if you have a target that dies while you start casting, which in some situations can be repeated multiple times making you completely useless. to counter this you have to have a macro to remove target while casting, only then your cast will not cancel even though your target dies mid cast.
Chronostatic preservation 's buff isn’t a magic effect, I’ve not had it purged in yet. But that’s off topic.
I do need to check the beacons healing in PVP because if the magic damage nerf is applied before it allocates the healing done then mage healers get penalized further in those situations.
