It is the second quest in the line for Shadowmourne, where it is require of the player to kill 50 minions of the Lich King in either 10 or 25 heroic mode. If you one shot any trash minions in one shot, their is no souls that it is added to the quest objectives, which make the boss pretty much the only target unless you went taking debuff, the likes of Ressurection Sickness or simply undergear or walk around naked.
Walk around naked?? Even naked and only with auto attacks my paladin one shot everything but bosses.

Itâs 2022 and I have this issue on my Paladin. I am level 50 and walk around naked and the only way I get this quest to complete is if I kill bosses. I wish Blizzard would fix this.
If you are a warrior, I was able to get souls by using charge since it counted as an attack. So I had to be patient enough to wait for 50 charge cds, but its worth.

I just did this with my Frost DK on patch 10.0.5.
All my gear unequipped, except Shadowâs Edge. Using Frost Spec and talent into double Chains of Ice, I would tag everything with Chains of Ice and auto-attack hit and kill them. Was able to get credit for everything with this.

As a Paladin I was able to use Rebuke and Hammer of Justice to apply the Shadowâs Fate debuff.

Arcane Torrent worked for me as well. Just tried it as of 10.0.7. HoJ also only worked for me if the target was no longer stunned. had to attack me then I got credit.

Hi Blizzard, this is still bugged. My friend DK still canât get enough kills solo. Fix your game.

The account-wide toy âWhole-Body Shrinkaââ from the troll quartermaster in Echo Isles will reduce your damage enough to hit trash enemies without one-shotting them, and works for this quest. The problem is that it only lasts 3 minutes and has a 30 minute cooldown, so youâll have to take a few breaks.

I donât know what Ravager called a delay attack, but it works wonders for Warrior to get 50 souls when casted. I farm the Frost Queen mob by gathering them close to the Ravager range and just use it. Tried on the spider and got around 18 then went to the baby dragon before those mini-boss and big ones came. Instant 50 souls.

I cant speak for other classes, but on warrior, i was able to do it fairly easily once i figured out a couple tricks. Demoralizing shout in prot spec applies the debuff, and you can equip the axe while in prot spec, however for whatever reason you will only get credit if you kill them with thunderclap, charge also works.

This is how I did the feast of souls. Took a few tries to test it⌠But right now this works. I did this as a blood elf paladin.
- Collect how much ever mobs you can.
- Use âarcane torrentâ, that seems to count as an attack. But dont immediately use any ability.
- Target every mob individually and auto-attack them.
This worked for me.
P.S: You can also try to auto-attack the bosses, but you will have to be naked. You can also try to use âHammer of justiceâ, but its a single target spell, this will also work.

As of Sept 2024, Divine Toll (Ret Pally) was the only way I could find to get credit for the kills, but as mentioned above, 5 kills, 1 min cooldown, wasnât too awful.
