Bug? Draenei heritage armor removing horns

This is a bug, right? It was on the PTR (and mentioned a few times in threads on those forums), and I’m assuming that the PTR was made available so close to release that they couldn’t fix it with everything else. But the draenei heritage armor removing horns entirely seems like a bug.

It looks like it’s the same for all head things on Draenei. If that’s the case then there would need to be an overhaul of Daenei character models to get it to work.

It’s not. (I’m thinking you were meant to type “If it looks the same”.

Unsure if it’s a bug or not or just how this particular armor was designed.

For male draenei, the hair is tied to the head-crests, which traditionally vanish with helms, yes. While I’ve been asking to see them split head-crests and hair on males since their introduction in TBC, I do not actually expect that change until at least the next major addition of racial customizations (which I’m not expecting for a few expansions).

For females, however, majority headpieces that I’m aware of allow the horns to poke through, similar to how elf ears poke through. There are only a small number of headpieces that actually remove female horns from draenei, and those tend to be of the “greathelm” types (full helms with no visible skin showing). This heritage set, however, removes the horns entirely.

While not necessarily unheard of, if it’s not a bug, that means the art team proposed, accepted, designed, and implemented a helm that removed one of the signature aspects of the only race that could wear it. And that’s a whole different matter entirely.

I’m hoping it’s just a bug, and they can simple flag the helms to not hide the horns in some hotfix or update patch.

Just chiming in to say this is still the case.

These helms still remove the female’s horns. If this was the intended design and not a bug, it is a grossly overlooked flaw because it removes one of the defining features of the race.

Posting here once again to ask if this is going to get fixed?
It can’t possibly be intentional/about clipping, because there’s a billion other helms that do the same and worse with draenei, tauren, and dracthyr horns.

Wondering when this’ll be fixed or if it’s even on the radar. It’s been over a year now.
