So while testing with a friend, I noticed that my Dracthyr is totally unable to use, or be the target of any toys or items that would either swap appearance with someone else, or make a copy of yourself. Valid for both normal and visage forms.
What I tried:
- Cloak of Many Faces (toy) - I just got that one earlier, was very eager to try it, but it always returns the “Invalid Target” error on the screen. Tested in party and in raid with a friend as leader. Does the same message when solo. I tried it on my Tauren Shaman, even alone it say “You aren’t in a party” instead.
- Reflecting Prism (Item) - Always returns “Invalid target”.
- Highborne Soul Mirror (Toy) - Same thing, always return “Invalid Target”. Works fine on my shaman and a copy of my character appears.
What I haven’t tried but might be affected too:
- Narcissa’s Mirror (Toy) : Turning your pet into a copy of yourself, I guess that would also be broken but I can’t test (still don’t have enough tokens…)
What works:
- When getting powers at the Cobalt assembly, I’m able to have mirror images of myself when selecting that specific one, same with the other version you need to dance with. So it isn’t a restriction on being able to make a clone of yourself.
- Any toys that turns you into other things work fine too, but even when in those forms, you can’t use the other items listed above.
- Shadow Slicing Shortsword (toy) - it does create a pitch black version of yourself behind you, which laughs and runs away.
I know it’s only visual stuff, but getting rare toys and being unable to use them is not that fun
