only corpse explosion puts it on cooldown, where any other means of death does not put it on cooldown.
so its partially fixed at best.
Patch 3.1: [Raise Dead]: Duration lowered to 60 seconds and cooldown lowered to 3 minutes. The cooldown on this ability now begins when the pet dies rather than when it is summoned.
Currently, raise dead goes on cooldown when the ghoul is summoned,
Raise dead is supposed to go on cooldown when the ghoul dies.
There’s even official patch notes about the change.

This has huge consequences for PVP, allowing DK’s to stun → corpse explode → resummon another pet immediately → stun → corpse explode. It’s letting DK’s have a huge amount of burst in a short window that they have never had before.
If you look at the clips below, Raise Dead cooldown does not start until the ghoul is dead.
there are plenty of other DK montages from 2010 that show raise dead cooldown not being started because the ghoul is alive
Well video 2 and 3 are private server footage, but the 1st video does seem to be wotlk.
To edit though, your stun doesn’t reset with your pet summon.
But yeah a lot of things don’t work with DKs atm, like AMS glyph - we don’t get the 2 seconds added. Pet commands arent reliable, our pets get stuck in environments within the arena all the time and Sacrifice is still prioing gargoyle over ghoul even though its a guardian.
bumping again still not fixed. Over a month now and we still have back to back corpse explosions, gargoyles 300meters in the air, and deathgrip putting players infront of wherever the DK is facing.
