I’m actually wanting to run a build without Dark Glare sooo stop buffing it thanks.
Kidding.
Glad to see Wither got a slight bump back up. It needed the nerf but as a DoT mechanic it still needs some oompf behind it to be fun.
I didn’t realise Diabolist was numerically so bad either. I have only heard great things about it.
Well is not that the hero trees are bad is just that warlocks in a spectrum for the avg of the entire raid logs are pretty mid to low tier. The biggest thing was withers. If that was available for all 3 specs I’d assured you more than half of the lock community would of gone hell caller.
Destro started as one of the lowest dps specs in beta raid logs. The other is the hero trees don’t really change much, warlock as a class is casting and using up a lot of gcds to do what seems like other specs are doing in 5 secs tops.
That’s not to add that the devs doubled down on even more move mechanics for both mythic dungeons and raid encounters.
Not to mention our fiendish stride is now several expansions behind. Meanwhile almost every other dps specs enjoys free mobility w.o using health as a resource or gets some instant proc damage that they don’t need to worry about it.
It also seems like the new devs completely left behind casting as a damage mechanic in general somehow. This rpg did a whole reverse where you now have anything that has a cast time to it doing less damage (as if they’re just fillers) than channels or instants. These devs are also doing some new ideas where they are allowing instants to proc other instants, sure they walked it back a bit but I’m sure it’s going to come back up later.
Look at what happened to chaos bolt .
830%…wtf… how can blizzard be so far off…
It got an 830% buff because currently the damage isnt even noticeable. With that buff it will be like getting hit by two chaos bolts now
wither didnt need a nerf it was bugged the entire time and blizz didnt know and the lock community had to solve that issue for them
These aren’t for prepatch, this is just tuning for launch
Game still unplayable until then for some specs.
If they want to push Destro off the shard dump move, I think they’ll have to look at crashing chaos vs rain of chaos. RoC further pushes the RoF ST direction and I don’t think them nerfing ritual of ruin (again) is the right move. A good amount of the Chaos Bolt power falling off stems from Crashing Chaos moving and being at 1 pt strength (which has resulted in people moving away from CC entirely), Chaos Incarnate getting moved away from 100% mastery to a lower floor, and how Improved Chaos Bolt isn’t off-setting the loss enough.
With all the mobility issues as well, I would rather them buff the hell out of Dimensional Rift and nerf Soul Fire. The bottom right side of the tree is in shambles.
Obv but who cares about the game rn lol
…people who pay to play the game?
Do you people not realize this game is pay to play
What do you mean by you people?
Also imagine thinking pre-patch balance matters
doom not applying without having multiple stacks of demonic core fixed yet?
No he’s right. We shouldn’t be ok with things like talent nodes on a live servers not working. And that’s just a small part of it. Sure minor bugs that’s fine.
But talent nodes that don’t function how they are suppose is a huge L on blizz part.
Next, they’ll just get rid of ptr servers and just be the " customer can handled it, they’ve been ok with things not working for years so it’s ok, if not tough luck".
Nope they still haven’t fixed that in beta yet. Currently you can only apply doom if you have two cores. Once you use one and have one core left you can’t put doom until you have two cores again.
Going to have to agree with them too, it’s okay that balance is all over the place but when you have literal capstone talents that straight up don’t work it makes even wanting to test and play those characters pointless.
Yeah. That’s usually my tell on how competent the group behind tuning.
Withers was bugged and they nerfed it and had to buffed back it due to it being bugged. Instead of investigating and seeing what was causing the damage breakdown.
Back in I think season 1 or 2 of Dragon Flight they nerfed demo twice on some pet talents and the community addressed it was due to bugs and even then they still went ahead with more nerfs which had to be even buffed idk 2 or more.
The team has had track record of nerfing or outright removing abilities with no communication as to if they thought behind it.
Look at demo’s core issues which now is being buff back up to the point that they will most likely have to revert it, how are professionals designers overlooking how this affects the spec as a whole (mechanics in their current expansion/mobility/casting in combat) in the but regular casual players can is beyond me. Because if you thought the dungeons coming in TWW have less mechanics ohhh boy is going to be “fun”
I’m sure some of this is likely to due with talents that interact with cores. Where as they didn’t think about how cores affects several different talents or that we need cores to properly set up tyrant or more than likely no one is going to get to a 15 imp set up for tyrant with them trying to randomize the cores themselves. Immutable hatred is still tuned to how it was back in the season of DF where we were getting a plethora of cores. They haven’t even mentioned it . Just crickets like doom in DF.
Here’s another why did the team nerf fiendish stride to one slowest caster currently in game in pve ?? I think sp is right there with us… When more than half the dps has even more mobility than DF with mechanics in spells and skills that override the need to use mobility.
In short they don’t think entirely. Just some half idea and go woops here’s some damage increase.
Blizzard like always, found a way to make sure affliction will not be played. New patch same story… buff demo and destro
We will see how things pan out, they may buff hellcaller some to bring affy up to par. It’s not far behind demo. I only pvp so I think affy will still be in a good spot but we will see.
afflic is 400k dps behind demo and 500k behind destro? how is that not far…that is way off dude
