Please, take a look at venthyr mission board followers.
This is the same across the board. Not covenant specific. They have terrible rewards
It’s not about the rewards. It’s about being able to actually complete the missions. When you have level 20 followers but still can’t beat the lvl 12 campaign mission with any combination there is an issue.

You know you can use more than one of each troop right
Like if you have 2 kinds of troops, troop A/troop B, you can use follower 1, 2x troop A, 2x troop B.

Yes, I am aware, the Venthyr troops are awful compared to kyrian, necro, and night fae, they aren’t all the same.
That’s on you then. Cause my followers are all about level 20. No failed missions
Not sure what the vamps get for followers but once I figured out which of my guys were healers, who buffed damage and who/what hit which row things got much easier.
Care to share what their troops are like?
You get healers? What Covenant are you in?
My generic guys are tanks and DPS, and then my companions are all pretty much just DPS. I don’t have a single healer follower yet! I’m Kyrian, by the way.
you can tell a healer place a guy on the board and if you see 3 blue triangles or + they are healers
Maldraxxus and the first soulbind guy Marileth has a healing slime ability and he can nuke everything on the board. The second soulbind/companion Emeni buffs everyone’s damage and I unlocked a abomination follower from a Torghast run that hits like a truck particularly when buffed.
Try again. The kyrian ones have no healers and no good single target damage. So any fight their level they get obliterated, especially on any of the rare or elite fights with one mob.
My champions are level 18-20, and I just failed a level 14 mission earlier today.
With that said, my Night Fae and Maldraxus characters, yolo missions 5 levels higher.

Okay, so I haven’t missed a companion, and there are no healer ones for Kyrians yet. Well, I feel a little better.
My friend who went venthyr hasn’t had any issues. He keeps telling me about his op venthyr followers and soldiers who have lifesteal.
And for my kyrian I’ve had no issues fighting things that are the same lvl as my own followers.
