Buff Undead racials, NERF dwarf and nelf

but if the highest performing priest healer is playing an orc, that means orc is the best race for mythic plus healing content.

One player’s success doesn’t determine the best race for Mythic+ healing. The fact that the highest-performing Discipline Priest is Orc doesn’t mean Orc is objectively better—it just means that particular player is exceptional. If anything, this is an outlier and not representative of the overall trend.

Claiming Orc is the “best” based on a single player ignores the overwhelming popularity and proven effectiveness of Shadowmeld in Mythic+. Outliers don’t disprove the overall trend; they’re exceptions, not the rule.

ok but if night elf were truly as OP as you try to make it seem, then surely no one would be able to obtain a higher ranked mythic keystone if they didn’t play night elf, right?

the fact that the highest ranked mythic plus team contains an orc priest as a healer proves that night elf racial isnt as oppressive as you claim it is.

That logic doesn’t hold up. Just because it’s possible to achieve high rankings without Shadowmeld doesn’t mean it’s not overpowered. The key issue is that Shadowmeld provides a unique and versatile advantage that makes it the preferred choice for the majority of high-level players. Outliers exist, but they don’t disprove the overall trend of Shadowmeld dominating Mythic+ leaderboards

they disprove your claim that shadowmeld is a requirement to succeed in high level mythic plus.

I never said Shadowmeld is a requirement to succeed in high-level Mythic+. My point is that it’s the most versatile and impactful racial, which is why the majority of top players choose it.

Just needs a nerf is all.

shadowmeld is not the most versatile or impactful racial in any way - it has some very niche uses in a few very niche situations.

orc berserking provides a stat boost in literally every single mythic plus dungeon encounter.

night elf shadowmeld is a useless racial everywhere else while berserking gets use 100% of the time.

orc and troll racials need a nerf - they provide too much of a combat performance increase.

the highest parsing enhance shaman for mythic queen ansurek is a goblin (just another example)

the highest parsing frost mage on queen ansurek is a gnome - even though mages can be night elves.

the highest parsing fury warrior on queen ansurek is a dracthyr - even though warriors can be night elves.

where are these leader boards that show night elves are dominating performance?

Shadowmeld is far from niche—it’s incredibly versatile. It allows Night Elves to drop aggro, avoid mechanics, reset encounters, and even enable skips in Mythic+. It’s useful in PvP, open-world content, and high-level PvE. It has many use cases lol.

Not sure why this would need a nerf considering the Void Elf passive racial is a flat 5% increase to dmg/heal on a proc. :person_shrugging:

Orc and Troll racials are fine.

if shadowmeld were so useful in pve, surely some of the top parsing dps players would be playing night elf, right?

but warcraft logs show mainly goblins, gnomes and dracthyr on Mythic queen ansurek

Mythic+ leader boards man. Shows Night Elves and Dwarves at the top. You can ignore it all you want but it’s there. :person_shrugging:

We’re just going back and forth on this. You can be ignorant if you want to but I’m hoping Blizzard nerfs Shadow Meld.

raid leaderboards - where are the night elves on the raid leaderboards?

also highest ranked disc priest in mythic plus is an orc, as i stated earlier. there is not one night elf on the highest ranked mythic plus team.

#2 disc priest in NA solo shuffle ladders is a gnome

#3 is undead

#5 is undead

going through this entire leaderboard, it seems as though a lot more disc priests are undead than night elf

so which leaderboards show night elves as dominating performance?

mythic plus - highest ranked disc priest is an orc

warcraft logs - not a single night elf on the front page for mythic queen ansurek parses

solo shuffle - disc priest seems dominated by undead rather than night elf

Let me answer that for you.

One player’s success doesn’t determine the best race. Those examples are outliers that highlight individual skill, not the overall strength of a racial.

For mythic plus the top races are Night Elf and Dwarves.

Wrong lol.

This is it for PvP:

Admittedly I haven’t checked Warcraft Logs, but for raiding, maybe Shadowmeld isn’t as impactful there—but the game doesn’t revolve around raiding alone. In Mythic+ and PvP, Shadowmeld consistently proves to be one of the most versatile and widely used racials, and that’s reflected in the overall representation of Night Elves in those areas

thanks but im looking at the official world of warcraft leaderboards, which i trust over a third party website. (plus i’m willing to bet that blizzard looks over its own leaderboards to determine oppressiveness of a racial ability rather than trust data from a third party website like the one you linked)

you want shadowmeld nerfed because you say it is overpowered and dominating all aspects of WoW… but none of the leaderboards show that to be the case, so i can’t imagine it would actually get nerfed.

have a lovely day, thats all i need to say on the matter.

Where do you think the data is pulled from? It’s sourced directly from Blizzard’s official APIs, they just present the data in more accessible formats, but the information originates from Blizzard’s own databases.

Also, it’s funny you bring that up considering you were literally referencing WarcraftLogs earlier for your own arguments. If you’re going to dismiss this data, you’re contradicting your own methods.

For the record, that’s not an orc. If they’re a Chinese player, the API reads as Orc regardless of their race. That’s why they have Orc Paladins and Orc Augmentation Evokers.

I dunno why yall still encouraging this thread. Blizz is already actively buffing racials. Bros just mad Shadowmeld wasnt touched when it realistically doesnt need to be.

Ion already said in an interview that they wouldn’t nerf outliers next patch because it’s middle of a season. Any nerf will happen in 11.1 at the start of a new season.

At this point, we’re just debating.

Yeah sure.

I would like to see Touch of the Grave go from a number which on my 605ivl warlock “A chance to deal 15,585 shadow damage and heal me for that much” to like a “A chance to deal 10% shadow damage and healing for the same amount” and a buff to canablize, instead of healing 7% of max health every 2 seconds for 10 seconds, just buff it to “every 1 second” going from a 35% health restore channel to a 70% health restore channel.

They should buff undead racials, especially underwater breathing.

From now on, instead of you never having to go up for air when underwater, the racial should be so strong you can only breathe underwater.
