One playerâs success doesnât determine the best race for Mythic+ healing. The fact that the highest-performing Discipline Priest is Orc doesnât mean Orc is objectively betterâit just means that particular player is exceptional. If anything, this is an outlier and not representative of the overall trend.
Claiming Orc is the âbestâ based on a single player ignores the overwhelming popularity and proven effectiveness of Shadowmeld in Mythic+. Outliers donât disprove the overall trend; theyâre exceptions, not the rule.
ok but if night elf were truly as OP as you try to make it seem, then surely no one would be able to obtain a higher ranked mythic keystone if they didnât play night elf, right?
the fact that the highest ranked mythic plus team contains an orc priest as a healer proves that night elf racial isnt as oppressive as you claim it is.
That logic doesnât hold up. Just because itâs possible to achieve high rankings without Shadowmeld doesnât mean itâs not overpowered. The key issue is that Shadowmeld provides a unique and versatile advantage that makes it the preferred choice for the majority of high-level players. Outliers exist, but they donât disprove the overall trend of Shadowmeld dominating Mythic+ leaderboards
I never said Shadowmeld is a requirement to succeed in high-level Mythic+. My point is that itâs the most versatile and impactful racial, which is why the majority of top players choose it.
Shadowmeld is far from nicheâitâs incredibly versatile. It allows Night Elves to drop aggro, avoid mechanics, reset encounters, and even enable skips in Mythic+. Itâs useful in PvP, open-world content, and high-level PvE. It has many use cases lol.
Not sure why this would need a nerf considering the Void Elf passive racial is a flat 5% increase to dmg/heal on a proc.
One playerâs success doesnât determine the best race. Those examples are outliers that highlight individual skill, not the overall strength of a racial.
For mythic plus the top races are Night Elf and Dwarves.
Wrong lol.
This is it for PvP: https://drustvar.com/pvp/representation?bracket=all®ion=all&rating=1800&option=race
Admittedly I havenât checked Warcraft Logs, but for raiding, maybe Shadowmeld isnât as impactful thereâbut the game doesnât revolve around raiding alone. In Mythic+ and PvP, Shadowmeld consistently proves to be one of the most versatile and widely used racials, and thatâs reflected in the overall representation of Night Elves in those areas
thanks but im looking at the official world of warcraft leaderboards, which i trust over a third party website. (plus iâm willing to bet that blizzard looks over its own leaderboards to determine oppressiveness of a racial ability rather than trust data from a third party website like the one you linked)
you want shadowmeld nerfed because you say it is overpowered and dominating all aspects of WoW⌠but none of the leaderboards show that to be the case, so i canât imagine it would actually get nerfed.
have a lovely day, thats all i need to say on the matter.
Where do you think the data is pulled from? Itâs sourced directly from Blizzardâs official APIs, they just present the data in more accessible formats, but the information originates from Blizzardâs own databases.
Also, itâs funny you bring that up considering you were literally referencing WarcraftLogs earlier for your own arguments. If youâre going to dismiss this data, youâre contradicting your own methods.
For the record, thatâs not an orc. If theyâre a Chinese player, the API reads as Orc regardless of their race. Thatâs why they have Orc Paladins and Orc Augmentation Evokers.
I dunno why yall still encouraging this thread. Blizz is already actively buffing racials. Bros just mad Shadowmeld wasnt touched when it realistically doesnt need to be.
Ion already said in an interview that they wouldnât nerf outliers next patch because itâs middle of a season. Any nerf will happen in 11.1 at the start of a new season.
I would like to see Touch of the Grave go from a number which on my 605ivl warlock âA chance to deal 15,585 shadow damage and heal me for that muchâ to like a âA chance to deal 10% shadow damage and healing for the same amountâ and a buff to canablize, instead of healing 7% of max health every 2 seconds for 10 seconds, just buff it to âevery 1 secondâ going from a 35% health restore channel to a 70% health restore channel.
