So you’re crying about a 2 min Hunter Wrath CD when you have a 2 min CD that actually oneshots someone…wut…? Lol
Uhhh Aimed Shot doesn’t hit anywhere near that number -ever- lol
one giant way to make everyone the same in pvp is basically just give them damage tables of 1hp damage on hit or 2hp damage on a crit or they just flat do a 95% damage reduction to all abilities on all classes while in a pvp mode.
If only you had the ability to read the rest of my statement.
i saw you said crit and not vs the higher armor bosses.
I am looking at his logs and he has:
crit highest hit vs electro 6000 = 864.00 crit
stx-13/ll = 739 crit
crowd pummeler 9-60 = 307 (non crit - didnt crit once vs that)
I guess you dont understand the part where its with lone wolf and with 0 armor on bosses. Feel free to mess around with the sim yourself.
why sim? just play the game and see what comes out in the ‘real world’ lol i know its not a real world haha
because simming is generally how good players decide their gearing and rotation.
To a degree this is true.
The normalizing of 1.8 is very different (and not in a good way) to a 2.8.
Hunters want 3.0+ bows for ideal weapon speeds.
Even if we assuned the normalization of weapon damage was perfectly equal across the board, movement changes their value still.
1.8 bow makes a hunter have to stutter step to get auto shots off every 1.6 seconds or so, making maximizing dps even harder when moving for mechanics. Vs a 3.0 weapon that lets you move more before needing to stop to get the auto shot off.
Slow ranged weapons are better for multiple reasons. Not clipping durring ained shot is one, not clipping durring movement is another. And how weapons normalize is also better with slower weapons.
zing! I feel the burn, i know im an old terrible dad gamer but ouch. haha
Yeah I just fight a same mob same level and go to town on different abilities and setups that way.
I also click buttons and dont use macros but i still have fun
The aimed shot damage formula is this:
(AmmoDPS * WeaponSpeed + (RAP/14 * 2.8 + Scope + AverageWeaponDamage + AimedShotBonus))
Slower weapons gain more DPS from ammo and generally have a higher average weapon damage. You can find the damage calculation for every hunter shot on watchyoursixx’s wiki page.
And this is a big reason hunters like slow ranged weapons.
Its not a huge difference, but even a 5-10% difference can make a big difference after other modifications like lone wolf, bonus crit damage, bonus weapon damage, etc.
Regardless, there’s no ranged weapon slow enough right now to put up a number even remotely close to a 2k crit in any practical application. You’ll be extremely lucky to even hit 1k with lone wolf’s 30% damage modifier using the BiS gun. Aimed shot is absurdly underpowered.
agreed! I want to like it, i want to use it, but i dont cuz it flat out sucks.
If bosses had 0 armor then you would see 2100 aimed shot crits from people using lonewolf + the DMF buff. The problem is that it isn’t possible to reduce bosses to 0 like it was in BFD.
If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we’d all have a merry Christmas.
id rather have buts and nuts than aimed shot
standing in one spot like an idiot for 3 seconds trying to cast Aimed Shot when every other classes are doing twice as much damage with instant casts sucks, hoping MM gets some love next phase
50% crit damage is not the same as 25% crit chance.
Thats not what normalization is or does.
Normalization fixes the bonus from RAP to the speed of a 2.8 bow for abilities. It does not change your base weapon damage. If Aimed Shot used RAP to scale instead of weapon damage you’d be right- but it doesn’t.
