I’ve seen several tanks dying in one shot, including adds. Increase their resistance please. I saw a druid and a DK taking one shot to adds (it wasn’t a big pull) in the Stonevault dungeon. It was a +8 key.
I had forgot about my lay-z macro with taunt baked in and accidently pulled Anniversary Doomwalker off the raid. It was a pleasant surprise tanking his overtuned rear thru 1/4 of his health with no outside heals, only i575 and a gran piano’s worth of defensive cooldowns before finally getting splatted.
I’m not against tank buffs at all, but as someone who plays with a healer in lots of content I can tell you easily his biggest complaint about tanks is about 9 out of 10 pug tanks NEVER use any defensive or CDs at all.
Tank buffs would be cool.
Getting 1-shot in a +8 is user error, though.
Forgehands? You can just kite them for a few seconds then the debuff drops.
Yes!, these were the adds.
But in DK’s case he got one shot right when he pulled the adds.
Honestly I’d be fine with tanks taking like 40% reduced damage for the first 3 seconds of combat or something. The amount of tanks I see crumple instantly on a big pull because they don’t have the resources to use active mitigation yet is very high (but they’re totally fine once it’s rolling).
Granted realistically they should just be popping an actual CD going into a big pull like that.
I immediately life cocoon the tank walking into the first pull of every dungeon.
