Just watching a holy paladin solo heal alg 10, and having 1.4 cast time on holy lights. resto shamans can’t hit that in tier piece and gemming full haste which makes the chain heals like noodles. Discs just get free uncontested healing and pad their numbers and druids can move whilst raid healing. I’m out here sweating, trying to stay relevant and it seems just a massive disadvantage that im playing a resto shaman
But nobody else can do Blood Lust.
I get blood lust when ever I raid at the game
lol. just play those other classes then. Resto sham is great.
that’s wrath, though
no reason to not be ele/resto dual. better than de’ing ele gear
huh? dude Resto Shamans are extremely strong. They can easily out heal Hpals in 25 raids and do top numbers. Besides numbers, they are just solid tank and raid healing class that provide quick powerful heals, passive healing stream and have mana tide. The Meta for 4 healing right now is 2 hpals 1 disc and a Rsham. rsham/hpal is better than Rdruid/hpal for Alg 10 man cuz they can just pump the tanks while doing great raid heals.
I mean if you are trying to be the hero healer class, then role Hpal. Hpal was always kinda broken for their niche in Wotlk . thats why they nerfed beacon to 50% in cata. But as a Healer, you are support. So support the raid, min max your class, make it better than it already is. But you will find every healer has it’s draw backs, I have a hpal, rdruid, and disc/holy.
Hpals are even more immobile sometimes. Especially if a tank is taking massive dmg and you need to move. It can really suck, pray that the other healer can pump something into the tank or you get a HS crit. Plus divine plea can be tricky. Hpals really lack any sort of actual healing choices of toolkit for keeping multiple people up ( can’t pad up a group or raid) and is very reactionary and not proactive. The only proactive thing to do is cast Hlight with possibility of expecting dmg.
Rdruids are very proactive and can be reactionary if played good. One of the highest skill capped healers imo. Huge toolkit, but really lacks big tank healing over long fights (alg). If you get caught off guard and not ready for damage, it can take a bit to get all your kit into the raid, meaning deaths or just getting sniped from other healers. Fights that have spike raid and tank damage, like 25 kolo or thorium really kinda suck for Rdruids. They also lack some good tank and raid CDs like hpal or disc.
Disc Priest lack actual healing throughput, so yes they asorb alot but that has a debuff. when massive damage is coming out like XT they need to resort to using their group healing spell and maintaining POM, which EAT mana. Their hots are weak and heals even weaker. Their good heal penance, really strong but on cd. Also mana can be a real bummer.
Holy Priest…uhhhh yehhhh. idk havn’t played holy since phase 1. Pretty good. mana is a pain. Very mobile. strong heals. It’s probably a mix of all the healers. Very well rounded. Idk what to say about holy. maintaining stacks of your buffs at certain times can be a pain. Maybe someone can tell me the downsides. Hard to get into 10 mans? lol
Rsham is performing much better than expected. You will see all the disadvantages of all the classes once you play them.
Bruh just having bloodlust is enough
Just dual spec ele and become a gigachad
ohdin is that you ?
RSham outheals HPals in most situations, yet a HPal can solo heal some bosses more easily due to the nature of beacon. Doesn’t seem terribly unbalanced to me.
Hey I main hpriest.
It’s not hard to get into 10s I actually solo heal most hardmode content only Mimiron and Deco are kinda hard to do it alone.
It’s a versatile healer but not because it can do tank and raid healing. It’s a raid healer but it can do burst and sustain healing effectively.
You mostly maintain the raid with empowered renews, PoMs (which are insanely stronger than discs one) and Circle of healing and you can also do burst healing only when needed with Binding heals and Prayer of healings.
Mana is a pain because most people don’t know how to play it, serendipity is not something you need to 3 stack always to do efficient healing, tbh you barely cast Flash heals unless it’s a proc from surge of light. So most people just spam flash heals and prayer of healing and get drained in an instant. I barely use shadowfiend on any fight as a solo healer in 10 HM
It’s very easy to win against hpals on raid dmg fights where you need big raid healing. But does ok sustain tank healing with just Poms and renews on the tank
Very fun and mobile spec that plays as a proactive (You must prepare empowered renews for upcoming dmg + POMS) and reactive (Burst with PoH and CoH) healer. definitely the hardest healer to play in the xpac.
The only downside I can see is that mana indeed can be harsh when you have very low gear, even though they are really good progress healers when everyone is kinda low gear. They are not as good tank healers as rsham and hpals, you might struggle to up a tank if it’s getting smashed constantly.
And the biggest downside is that it’s just a hard healer, you have a lot of rotations depending on the situations so people just tend to stick to easier healers that can be effective with less effort.
LMFAO
Not me this time
Resto is fine. Plus holy pally was trash all of the last xpac while shaman was gigachad.
You guys ran the freaking game in TBC, take the L this expansion
Not just TBC but also classic. You want 6-8 shamans in classic for totems in most groups. You move your shamans into the caster group to rotate mana tides, all the goodies.
Killed Algalon 1st time today with Hpal and Hpriest.
Hpriest put in the work keeping the raid up.
Gj!
Yeah hpriest are really good at topping groups after a collapsing star exploded. And the hpal does it’s job topping the tanks up.
Was honestly perfect. The priest was thinking of going Disc, but I think Holy is the better option for our setup.
Resto shaman is fine, you don’t need to solo heal a boss to be good.
Paladins can solo heal most of Dragon soul, yet shamans remain amazing during the tier.
Priests solo heal garrosh, yet shamans remain amazing.
Embrace your strengths and weaknesses and find your place.
