Buff Quaking Palm with the Racial Changes

In PvE the racial is entirely underwhelming. A 2m CD for a low duration incap. Post-CC rework this is entirely negligible and only useful to stop spells that are channeled, which is very rare as is. Pandaren already have a long standing lackluster stat passive compared to other races, which has been bandaided with hearty food into being decent. The active needs work, now. I’m not entirely sure what a solution could be, as simply lowering the CD does not make it more effective, but something should be done while you are rebalancing other racials. Pandaren is one of the least played races, after all.

I admittedly do not know how good this racial is in PvP, but I cannot see it being anywhere close to outliers like Shadowmeld.

I mean, if Shadowmeld is what we’re comparing against every racial is going to be left wanting for the most part.

Blizzard specified their goal for the racial updates was to “increase the viability of some underrepresented races” citing that “many have fallen behind naturally within the game’s ecosystem.” This quite literally describes Quaking Palm entirely, at least in PvE. Further, if their goal is “viability,” then the only natural comparison should be toward the strongest utility racials, being Stoneform and Shadowmeld, otherwise the buffs and changes mean next to nothing.

I know it’s a long shot, but if we’re looking for updates to Quaking Palm, what I’d love is if it had a slightly longer range. I know Pandaren are mostly designed with the monk fantasy in mind, but barreling into melee on a squishy ranged just to make use of my racial has always been a lackluster proposition.

Quaking Palm would always run the risk of being removed anyway due to its range. You need to be able to disengage/stopattacking on the mob, and hopefully it’ll stay in its state. It never works.
