I think there are several specs that may be good atm, but don’t see play because they’re not as strong as the meta specs.
I think stuff like hunter, lock, sp, and boomy would all be okay if not good if warriors werent killing everything and ele/mages didn’t have a toolkit a full expansion ahead.

SV is still pretty decent in 2s because the baseline kit is pretty strong there, but tbh Survival could use some help.
Totally agree on your other points though. MM and BM are more than fine and still finding success despite the overwhelming amount of warriors in every match.
The survival is probably the only specs for hunter that needs some buffs.
If BM wants buff their going to have to change how BM does its damage and by that I mean adding more casting to their skills.
I think for sv to get buffs they should largely be targeted for living into melee
Limited sample size but it cranks and has the tried and tested generic hunter kit minus the range
They could start with making it fun again. 
How you could go from one of the more enjoyable iterations of the spec to one of the worst is a pretty amazing accomplishment.

Just because a class has two good specs doesn’t mean the third needs to be bad lol, like would you say fire doesn’t need buffs because arcane and frost are good?
Is survival bad? I’m not saying I couldn’t see adjustments for it but is it actually bad?

Hunters do seem cheeks . In organized play it feels like they’ve been power crept. So many noobs called for BM nerfs yet it’s been completely irrelevant this season

I haven’t played a ton recently (because of how boring the spec is), but it lacks kill potential. Does good damage overall. Feels pretty balanced… but compared to just about everything else, just feels pretty average to slightly below average. SV doesn’t really excel at anything atm. Targets I used to feel very comfortable on aren’t great.
SV = Meh
From healer POV playing with a Survival feels like you’re being griefed. No burst , mediocre defensives, trash stuns, etc. watching a Survival waddle at a Mage is depressing like wtf are u doing with ur life play Marks
BM = strong and boring
MM = strong and fun

No im not saying survival is bad, I was just responding to the guy saying hunter has 2 s tier specs. Every spec should be on par with every other imo, even if we don’t like fighting them.

Survival is definitely a solid spec. You can hit 5-6m flanking strikes and rando delete people and it has very solid damage from range. Also has the traditional hunter defensives. Pretty sure people that are bad at surv just aren’t using defensives and range properly
