I can’t take these slow queue times anymore pleeeeaaaase.
I mean, just remove shadowmeld tbh. Its the only reason people flocked to alliance. (Yes, yes, horde racials for years and blah, blah, blah…)
There is merc mode. Funny how the dominant faction only gains more advantage by being able to play both sides.
I do Merc a lot during the day in epics, It’s nice to see the same “we always lose” on both side.
How do u ppl stand these
Well, the pugs are going against premade raids on both sides.
When premades are always winning, then pugs are always losing.
I actually merced last night with 4 other peeps in my party just to get a fun fight in vs my very own premade and…there RR was alongside them…haha.
I play for fun, winning or losing doesn’t matter so much, I prefer games that almost end in a tie. I don’t like the quick loss/win games where you waiting 15 minutes in queue for a 5 minute BG. Sometimes AV last for an hour and that’s what I’m there for.
Epics are meant to be epic battles that goes back and forth between offense/defense. I value the time spent inside a BG a lot more than time spent in queue, so I really prefer having a low queue time.
Now I moved back to Alliance to make a change since I’ve been playing horde forever, this is a new account and started alliance only. I had a brief period of time where some friends were playing where I went horde for 6 months, but they stopped playing and I retransferred back to alliance. I honestly had no idea there was an alliance meta for PVP, just like I had no idea there were so many PVP communities.
I’ve had many names and played battlegrounds since day one, on both side. The casual aren’t try hard, they play 1 level above NPC. They blindly follow a big group. If the big group is fighting on the road, they will be there alongside them, fighting on the road.
A 10 man premade could lead 30 pugs to victory because they’re good soldiers. Premade make battleground better because the majority of them are objective oriented.
Recently Pugs started copying the premade strat, When they see a win happen under certain condition, they will naturally try to replicate that condition.
And for everyone, stop reading names off your BGE addon. You will get premade-saturation where if you see a couple names, you will think it is a 40 man premade.
There are a lot of no-life like me who queue Epics all day on 10 different alts and I really don’t face that many premades but I do see many familiar names.
I faced Fieldarmy twice this morning.
When I was queuing epics during prime time the other night, I ran into DJL like 3 times. There was a premade raid in nearly every single game.
You know there are multiple BG’s going in parallel, If you’re facing the same people over and over it is normal, you’d have to wait a couple minutes to desync from their queues.
If there is 1 Horde for 3 alliance in queue, you have 33% chance to hit the premade queue. I must be lucky and hit the other pug groups from alliance.
Are you queuing both Horde and Alliance?
The problem is I don’t know if they’re also waiting a few minutes to requeue between games.
Yes. That’s why I know it’s painful for pugs on both factions in random epic bgs during prime time.
If I manage to desync from one premade raid, I run into a different one.
True, during prime time there are a lot of communities running. Even if you dodge one, you’ll get part of one, because they don’t always get put together in the same BG. And apparently Blizzard system likes to sprinkle solo-q with premade. It’s built that way.
I was in there playing defense! Fun game. We also had 5 people in.
me when I make stuff up
Going alliance to shadowmeld cc in your 2400 arena game? Yes, completely real
Guess what most bg players aren’t, and aren’t really capable of doing…
You feel like you’re playing a game of war. Army vs. army.
Generally more entertaining than running a flag back and forth across a field. That feels like a kiddie game.
In my experience epics feel like there’s one big team fight in the beginning and then the rest is PvE
