Herald is still the most played hero spec even afyer the templar buffs in pvp
I am gonna assume herald is even better in pve as radiant glory benefits herald way more than templar
Unfortunately it is way behind Templar in all PvE content atm.

I prefer Herald as well, but Templar is just better. The damage is better and more bursty, the mobility is better, and the survivability gains are passive.
Templar is just better designed for modern WoW.
