Why arent dhs buffed yet? Whats taking so long for the devs to tune?

Chaos Strike is not doing the damage it should be… Looking at my skill tooltip right now, Chaos strike reads 1738 damage and Demons bite reads 1,131. Yet the actual numbers i’m getting against the Covenant training dummy is 860 real damage for Demon’s bite and 1110 real damage Chaos Strike. Between our two skills, my chaos strike should be doing roughly 600 more damage than my demon’s bite, but in reality its barely 250 more >:( barely 200 more damage ! That’s pretty significant!!!
does everything just have a ton of “chaos damage mitigation”?? Doubt it !! This is crippling our viability… Come on blizzard !!

Reading a post from Hauggs, i got inspired and decided to think a way to make havoc fun and viable again without breaking it, hope some blizzard staff could check it and maybe they can considerate it

i havent thinked about numbers or anything, im more of a creative person lol

first of all numbers on chaos strike needs to be looked at.

Momentum needs to be gone, it is a talent that almost no one likes and like someone said in this forums, in higher mythics dung and raid u cant be dashing all around like a crazy guy 'cause positioning its a high priority.

Chaos strike and inmolation aura should have an interaction, having Inmolation active should make chaos strike do greater dmg (like that anima power from torghast but with animation), and chaos strike should proc an empowered version of inmolation aura wich does more dmg on activation

The legendary effect of erratic fel core should be part of the unbound chaos talent to make it more viable, specially in pvp where sometimes we need to keep healing reduction on a target

First blood should be baseline and dodge chance should be a thing again to improve survivability

Also there is a lot of unused potential on this “ability” that DHs have on the lore wich is Fel lance, i know it is used one rain from above but like i said before, i see a lot of potential, it could be a talent or a baseline ability, idk, where something like Inmolation, chaos or blade dance start proccing and givin stacks of fel lance and can be used like the flurry thingy from mages, that would make our kit synergize pretty good givings us kill potential on pvp, more dmg on pve outside meta and demonic window, a cool ability lore/fantasy friendly and with enough development and time it could make a fine 3rd spec

Im curious how they will buff dh’s without buffing them in M+ because they are amazing in M+ right now. Both havoc and vengeance. Might as well just give them a healer spec so we can finally see the 5 DH meta fully evolve.

today did a mythic 6, the order of dps

  • 1 DK, ilevel 285=3, 227
  • 2 DH ilevel 298=2,673
  • 3 DH tank 290=2,585

that extra 1000 damage, with no effort

Just buff Chaos Strike. ST is the issue. Buffing that would “fix” the spec until they can rework it.

Chaos Strike is two hits; each hit does a % of the total damage.

The reason you’re seeing 1110 is because that’s what your main hand is hitting for; you’re ignoring the second hit from your off hand, either purposely or accidentally.

Demon’s Bite is also physical damage and reduced by armor (30% for bosses) which puts your 1,131 within the correct range (800~).

Your entire post is disingenuous or ignorant and I’m not sure which is worse at the moment.

Chaos strike says nothing about two hits, I don’t expect it to be eviscerate or anything but it’s narrowly better than demon’s bite. I just tested it again though and youre right it does hit twice, so it is up to par with what it says and its not as bad as i thought haha. My character as dps just sucks, try as i might i get killed on the meters everytime, I never get invited to anything unless im vengeance. Blizzard Activision isn’t coming to help either so its time to reroll

Yep. Total bullsh*t. Don’t even have a second dps spec to play while they fix Havoc. We’re just SoL.

buff DH, the class needs help, purely trash single target DPS compare to any other classes, Chao’s strike hit like a wet noodle. how is this designed as intended.

We didnt get a buff, ignored again. Should post in General thats were Blizz sometimes reads, seems like we get ignored here.

imagine grinding m+ everyday and hoping that you will get accepted in higher keys. when the time comes, sitting in a que and people insta decline your application… Fun times.

This is the most fun class to play in the game but half the time I can’t find groups unless i set them up myself because we don’t bring anything to the table that other classes don’t bring better… It’s like we show up to the party with off brand Doritos potato chips and everyone else brought homemade cooking…

It just feels lazy right now. Like Blizz didn’t put any thought into the class. It’s really sad. And I am historically not a complainer about how blizz runs it’s game. It’s just disappointing

DH feels so bad to play in pvp.

Spectral Sight is clunky.
Forced to use a pvp talent slot for an MS.
Forced to choose between having a slow and having a stun, Chaos Nova notwithstanding.
Poor defensive toolkit, to the point where we are essentially forced to use our legendary slot for the darkness memory.
Metamorphosis feels bad in arena w/o leech. Forced to play Soul Rending talent instead of Netherwalk.

Overall, DH feels very lame to play rn.

Seeing all the huge buffs to other classes today and sitting here like a rat on a sinking ship. I just hope it is because they are actually TRYING to fix the inherent class issues (tank spec does more than dps spec?) as opposed to a blanket percentage damage buff.
